If he was drafted to a better club, he wouldn't have played any games, let alone over 100
So you've seen everything have you?

ah, this old chestnut again... everyone's an expert... but no-one can make an unbiased judgement (let alone a hypothetical one) on an AFL player unless they have played in the AFl themselves...

there really is never a winner in this argument.

FWIW i think Tambling obviously had potential but never lived up to it, Jack Watts is looking in the similar category. Watts will probably play 100+ too, but would he have played that amount if he was drafted to Hawthorn or Geelong in 2008?!?

you be the judge (as long as you've played 100+ games at Geelong or Hawthorn...) ;-)
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

He might have developed, gained confidence and improved. We'll never know. So much of the game is played above the shoulders. Have a look at Melbourne and Richmond's (at the time) development compared to other clubs. It might have made a difference to him.

I thought he was going to be handy for the Crows, the last link in the chain running forward. However he seemed to play every position and never settled into one.

you can make judgements but too say he was no good is wrong.
He played 100 games of AFL. The stats of that are very low. It's only 1 in a 1000 people are drafted to afl let a lone play 100 games

We could perhaps put it this way: for an AFL player who kept getting a guernsey for 100 matches he was pretty inconsistent and overall "average" in terms of performance versus theoretical potential.

I think he was past it when the Crows recruited him just as Wayne Carey was when they recruited him.
The only difference was Carey had been a very good and consistent player before reaching "past it" time.

Lets just say Nick was having a few frothies after the SANFL GF with a few of the lads and described Mick as a c**t and several other comments were made.

If he wanted to leave Carlton or pushed, why not do it before the drafts in the hope of going somewhere else? I know he played for Norwood but is he originally from S.A?

Maybe it is just injury.

Or maybe, just maybe, another run in with Mick (possibly following the outlining of his plans for Duigan next season).

I dunno, is that the sort of scuttlebutt you're suggesting, Q?

Knew that. Obviously had meetings with the coaching staff and wasn't happy with his limited game time. Norwood could be the winners out of this if he comes back to SA
