No, he didn't. He was guided out the door.

When someone guides you aren't you still walking?

For god's sake Phil, he could have stuck it out - didn't - went to LHC (not so hard, probably better coin) then realised he had something more to offer to footy, only at the parade and not south.
But don't go upsetting anyone.

Stuck it out? The decision was made for him & I'm sure he doesn't regret a thing. A flag at his home club with his brother & mates + 2 flags with Norwood.

Agreed mate I know a fair few of the creek lads and had herd that south didn't want him anymore and was happy to come home to play with his bro and some good mates then Norwood came a knocking and it took abit of convincing to get him over the line . Now a duel premiership player and a senior coach :D Great work Benny !

There seem to be a great many tits (i.e. knockers) on here who fail to acknowledge the long, powerful, poignant & respectful history
between the South Adelaide & Norwood Football Clubs. Ancient boundary lines, player retention & margins are still bones of contention
for many lovers of ‘Eternal Football in South Australia’. Let other ‘minor clubs’ please take note.
AND, let NO ONE forget South Adelaide won the very 1st Premiership in our ‘stand alone’ association !

Yes, Norwood is the only club to ever win 6 flags on the trot from the start, but South Adelaide will always be remembered for
winning the very first. They must ALWAYS be respected for that. Knowledgeable and caring Norwood fans will forever be disgusted
by the disgraceful treatment of the South Adelaide Football Club by the ‘Association’ and subsequent ‘League’ zoning stupidities !

Over the years, quite a number of Norwood players had the name Warren. Connections are yet to be proven, but what is truly
substantive and demonstratively magnificent in this thread, are the number of South Adelaide faithful who have quite rightly shown
respect and good wishes to one of their very own. Ben Warren gave of his all for The Panthers in a time of utter loss. He was physically
destroyed by amazingly loyal efforts, way above and beyond his body’s capabilities. Only after recuperating, when offered a new
opportunity for much deserved success, did he try yet again.

I applaud any and all South Adelaide supporters who wish Ben Warren well after he gave of his all for you. If ANY Norwood man takes
you to a long overdue Premiership, I would quite happily applaud a ‘Blue & White’ unveiling of The West End chimney while SAFC fans
go utterly beserk ! May it happen very soon, but never against Norwood.
;)

Luv,
Sabre.

Agreed. A great appointment for Norwood and no doubt Ben Warren will appreciate having Andrew's experience in the coaches box...

BlueandWhite you do know Sabre is prone to drink excessive amounts of red wine don't you !
He is a wine taster by trade but is continually fired for swallowing and not spitting.
Fester has a similar problem but his occupation is not wine tasting :)

I even looked up the word online and it means a small test at uni or to rain lightly so that didn't really help me.
Is Ben too hard to pronounce?

So it means test/exam and rain too?

Maybe he likes doing uni exams in the rain?
It fits.

I'd assumed "Dugga" Warren was derived from Warren, and the idea of having dug a warren as rabbits do.
Parallels exist with the origins of nicknames like "Badger" in the UK and "Wombat" here (relating to what they eat)...

Cool I like that one. Means we can also call him "Sittingina", "Felldowna" or "Drowningbabyrabbitsina".
