Er No...... no sacking required its actually resigning because of comments like the above.
Perhaps those calling for his head will stick their hand up and help out. Better still crawl back under their rocks and let those willing to help out move the club forward....

Re: Grade Cricket
TTG played PNG last night in a T20, TTG winning by 20 odd runs... TTG batted first making 6/146 which included 3 run outs. They had a couple handy players with bat and ball and some very athletic fielders.
The win keeps our winning streak in the coloured clothes going into the 3rd season.

Why were PNG selected as a side to compete in the PL? Seems a little random.

Because decent organised competition is not existent in their own country. Had a nice chat to a few of them when they played against us, most of them work in their cricket office. They are getting money from SACA and the ICC for this I think.

Yep, they struggle for turf wickets back home and play on low slow decks and looked to struggle with the short of a length bowling last night. They were very proffesional in the way they went about their cricket.

Hearing a few tickets being formed for the vacant position, could be an interesting special meeting when called.

Re: Grade Cricket
Great effort from Carl Mickan (143) and DLCA import David Payne (82) for the Eagles on Saturday. Came together at 6/55 and put on 224 for the 7th wicket. Previous best 7th wicket stand for the club was 150 - Merv Waite (339) and Ross Stanford (39) v. Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, March 1936 (in a prelim final). Not every day you break a 77-year old record.

This has now been confirmed as a SACA Grade Cricket record surpassing the previous best of 203 in 1928-29 by A Ryan and V Yeo for Adelaide vs Sturt at Unley Oval.

Re: Grade Cricket
Well TTG's unbeaten run of 26 games in the 1day and T20 formats came to an end yesty with Sturt pulling our pants down with a 90 odd run win.
On another note, We were talking saturday night about the PL T20 tournament that clashes with our Saturday/Sunday match v Southerns. We will have all but 3 A graders playing in the PL games..... fair hole to fill

If the edge (or any other team) do not win enough games on the saturday to qualify for the sunday finals day then are they going to be able to suit up for grade clubs the next day?
Re: Grade Cricket
That is going to get very messy. Imagine all the slashed players would be involved (although only A's and B's play on the Sunday).
This 20/20 weekend is bit of a waste of time in my opinion, should cancel it, but doubt they will.
Lots of clubs have half their team missing for this Round!

Massive waste of time. The rest of the PL I think has been a success, well we have seen it as a success with the Evans and Weaver getting a chance from it.
We have top pull 8 players from somehwere to fill the D grade. Lucky we have the numbers this year, but in previous years we would have had to get 'Bullsforever' and the A grade team manager in the whites

With one spot still on the Strikers list up for grabs, will not be a complete waste of time - unless they have their mind made up on who that will be and that person does not perform on these 2 days then it is a smack in the mouth for the Comp. I know that the Outbacks are looking forward to taking part in it and have been told our squad will be boosted on the day most likely with Shaun Tait, Alex Hales and Jon Holland for at least one game each!
