Great to see a couple of past greats been driven around the oval pre game
Rick Davies and Grenville Dietrich looked to having a ball waving and acknowledging the crowd


Other well known football peoples:
Spotted a Woodville great in John Cummins in the crowd as well
Todd Grima was at AAMI
Dean Terlich at the Parade celebrations
Bayman at AAMI


Agree with RIG about Sundays
Must be kept on Sundays for the country supporters

Quite a load of rubbish about having to be on a Sunday for country supporters.

The Port Pirie group of Port Adelaide supporters that come down on the bus EVERY WEEK dont need a day off the day after to make their way down.

Friday night before the AFL GF, if that isn't an attractive time slot for the SANFL GF I dont know what is.....but, I understand the issues with reserves and U18 GF's in the lead up to the GF.

I certainly cant see the SANFL GF being Sunday arvo of the October long weekend next season.

Agree that it doesn't necessarily have to be a Sunday, but the actual weekend is important with some leagues finishing their seasons and other club functions like presentations. I don't think in the current environment those leagues who play up to AFL prelim final weekend are going to change just because the SANFL GF is on (whether it be Saturday or Sunday).

James Allan and James Bennett were both at the North wake as was dual premiership player Peter Bennett who now lives interstate. One of the Gowans twins was also at the North wake, it would be very rare for them to have attended a wake.

Will never understand how at a minor round game, crowds are averaging around 3,000 and even for the finals series, crowds have been relatively low...why does everyone just jump on the bandwagon for the grand final?!? The true supporters are there every week. It amazes me how people can call themselves true supporters if the only game they attend is if there team is in the grand final.

I consider myself a true supporter and I only attend when it's a grand final

It's the same for every club, in every competition.
It's not just a Norwood problem.
Every club has a latent supporter base.

. The people who only show up for the grand final should really be ashamed of themselves. The clubs didn't need your support to get there so why support them on gf day. Will never make sense to me.
