GRAND FINAL HAWKS V DOCKERS

Talk on the national game

Re: GRAND FINAL HAWKS V DOCKERS

Did a little research from the R4 game
Crowley tagged Mitchell, Mitchell still had 25 touches but down on efficiency.
They will both have 4 changes from R4. Kind of debunks the myth that Freo were depleted that day. Hawks lost Schoenmakers early so would have expected Freo to come over the top.
Osbourne, Schoenmakers, Duryea and Savage replaced by Guerra, Sewell, Lake and whoever replaces Whitecross (Anderson or Simpkin)
Bradley, C,Pearce, Griffin and Smith replaced by Sandilands, Pavlich, Clarke, McPharlin
Whilst Freo have the better ins they are replacing better players. The Hawks are replacing 4 very average players with good players
Hawks kicked 5 to zip in 1st quarter and maintained that all game before winning by 7 goal. Freo closed to 2 goal in the last term.

How quickly people forget that the Hawks smashed $ydney by 54, 30 shots to 16 with Tippet. Im a lot more confident now if we kick straight.
Freo beat $ydney by 25, 29 shots to 19 at home, no Tippet
Sorry Power fans, new tip Hawks by only 86

agreed. i reckon Lyon is a great coach...

No surprise there.
It's shit football and as much as i hate Geelong thank F#$! they came along in 07 to free us of the style that took over the league in 05,06.

Is it true that Roos is having trouble finding a 2IC cos a)he can't find anyone with similar coaching philosophies and b) no one is prepared to give up 2 years of their life that they will never get back?

Surely "going with" is irrelevant and what works best for the TV camera is what matters. ;)

you'd have to ask Paul Roo's...

Hopefully the Hawks don't choke again this year... Bit nervous???

Surprisingly your score in 07 G/F would've been competitive in 05/06 ;)

yeah, you're right. Bloody hate winning grand finals!!!...

It could be pretty ironic if you get knocked of by 2 defensive minded sides in 2 GF's...

no pressure

As a neutral supporter Saturdays GF is looming as a fantastic game.

Hawthorn the best team by a mile over the season, looking to cap off the year in fine style.

Freo the in-form GF debutant with great fighting spirit and afraid of no-one.

Am not sure who to barrack for, with ex-Centrals players in both teams and an ex Centrals Premiership coach. Gotta say I would love to see Lee Spurr carry the cup.

Hawthorn by 91 pts

Freo the walking wounded, having to manage to many players.

Hawks alot more big game experience, experience at the MCG

Would love to see Freo win but imho to many things are going against them.
