Absolute front runner and overpriced by about double IMO

Last week Rucci said Betts is asking & will get $600k per season.

I don't think Carlton would even pay that much, let alone give him a 4 year deal.

What do people think he is worth? Late 2nd round draft pick? I think he will turn into a servicable player over the next 5 years, but unfortunately for Adelaide his value isn't that high after his first 5 year output. The Bulldogs and Carlton would be keen targets I'd imagine. Although Bulldogs 2nd round pick would be about 20 whcih would be too high and Carlton's about 28, which would be closer to the mark, probably still too high. Working in the Crows favour is he is a key position player who is hitting the age where they start to mature and impose themselves.

Have you seen McKernan at SANFL Level? Barely strikes fear into any of them....

Would be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for him.

Always seemed to play better at AFL than SANFL for some reason. Agreed that if he was picked on SANFL form he'd never get a gig.

Would you move on? Jesse White would struggle to get a game in your side if Sam Reid was fit and rightly so he is that much better, he would have made zero difference to the Crows position on the ladder this season and any future season, if he does anything decent tonight ill eat my words but I don't rate the guy at all.

Yarran is almost certain to ask for a trade back to WA

This and it turns out Tippet will make a difference on Sydney's position, not a good one but a difference never the less

My information says Yarran is on the move too.

Would Van Berlo get a game if he was not captain?

There are other factors to the job of being captain.
The best player is not necessarily the best choice for helping keep the team together, disciplined, and focussed.
VB usually earns his keep without being a stand out "star" - but I agree he has had a rather average year in 2013.

Well said Psyber, I think Nathan would be the first to admit he has had an average year but from all reports his leadership and professionalism is unquestionable.

In saying that, it could be time for him to give up the captaincy and concentrate on his football.

Mark Ricciuto evaluated the Crows players this year in his Tiser column today, agree/disagree?

Very good: Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane, Richard Douglas, Daniel Talia, Brad Crouch, Ben Rutten.

Good: Tom Lynch, Rory Laird, Luke Brown, Andy Otten, Sam Kerridge, Brodie Smith, Ricky Henderson, Lewis Johnston, Mitch Grigg, Kyle Hartigan, Scott Thompson, Josh Jenkins.

Not good enough: Bernie Vince, Nathan van Berlo, Sam Jacobs, Matthew Wright, Brent Reily, David Mackay, Jared Petrenko, Jaryd Lyons, Sam Shaw, Ian Callinan, Shaun McKernan.

In trouble: Richard Tambling, Angus Graham, Brodie Martin, Matthew Jaensch, Jason Porplyzia, Luke Thompson.

He also says the Crows should target either Eddie Betts or Paul Chapman who he expects to be delisted by Geelong.
