Re: SAAFL Division 7 2013
The SAAFL is already the Largest Amateur sports league in Australia isn't it? Why would they want to get bigger?
Division 7 clubs are just going to have to deal with the cards that are thrown at them. The league has enough issues with the clubs they already have affiliated with them. Have an issue with that? Then better yourselves and get out of the lowest tier.

These 3 clubs would wipe the field in D7 if they kept their current playing lists. 2 of them left the league from a higher division so why would they re enter at a lower level?
I would be focusing on the Promotion debacle that currently affects this level.

Re: SAAFL Division 7 2013
at least these clubs would have the chance to evolve through the ranks.
words are words but u need to prove how good you are on the footy field. too good for div 7? then come along and prove it
if it take ya 5 years to get to div 2, well then congratulations your club has just made 5 grand finals in a row

There is no way a Brighton or an Edwardstown would re enter the SAAFL at the lowest level it would ruin their clubs.
Remember Edwardstown left D2 because of financial reasons because they had the potential to generate more revenue at a SFL game than a SAAFL game.
You are absolutely dreaming if you think this was ever to eventuate.

It'll kill Towns anyway.
Clubs a shambles and if we don't let them back in, all their players will just filter back to us via various clubs
*cough* Kenilworth *cough*

Re: SAAFL Division 7 2013
haha I agree
u wont get gate fee revenue from us
but its the logical solution, go read the sfl forum to see their great divide, and to fill our void we'll take your 5 adelaide plain club from the sfl
just consider the ultimate goal - cgrade super league!!!

if the saafl could offer a deal to the sfl clubs marion, cove, brighton, morphettville park, edwardstown & the other southern club on adelaide plains, offer them a deal they couldnt refuse...
we'd have a 10 team division 7 agrade sides only, then hence the birth of the c-grade super league! haha
They are very much up the hill marbles. Definately not on the plain
No club from the APFL would contemplate joining the SAAFL, Virginia and Two Wells would be the only two close enough geographically but the entry fee for all of their home games plus finding junior comps and aligning the netball would be a massive logistical problem and massive financial losses.
Not to mention the feel of country football and the rivalry that the 7 clubs have with each other is massive.
Plus why the heck would either Two Wells or Virginia want to play div 7 footy?
so you can get a kick

Brighton and Towns in D7. Hahahahahah. marbles, get a grip old mate, they would beat Ingle Farm by 20 goals and your dear old Henley C grade by 30. North Pines and equivalent would see Callington records tumble.

Here (previous page), then again I can't quite grasp what you're trying to say.

Not your only mistake, either lack of knowledge or lack of judgement is the other.
The SFL is a very good standard of football, the top teams would eat all Div 2 SAAFL sides, and most of the Div 1 clubs.

Joking surely?
Div 3 and some Div 2 - and only the very top teams i.e. Brighton & Edwardstown!
SFL lacks any real depth as well, really it's a pretty crappy comp!
