You have 2 problems.

Firstly, you cannot change your system and still get the FIT.

Secondly, GGG will rip you off as their 60c FIT is a sham.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Finally after 6 months of carp, my solar system is up and running again.

Many thanks to Quinton Cox of consumer affairs.

Many thanks to Peny@zeversolar in melbourne.

It has been a long and tiresome battle that had no ending.

Peny solved the problem in 2 weeks.

Management of Unleash solar should be in jail.

Not living the highlife again in the USA.

There could be gains for the solar systems coming:
http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/worl ... tic-field/
The sun is gearing up for a major solar flip, NASA says.
In an event that occurs once every 11 years, the magnetic field of the sun will change its polarity in a matter of months, according to new observations by NASA-supported observatories.
... The current solar maximum is the weakest in 100 years, experts have said.

I finished up going with EnergySA, 6980 for a 5kw unit and so far so good. We averaged 13.32 kilowatts usage last bill and on a bad day (rain, dark clouds), we're getting 4kw. On our best day we've got 18kw. Our unit has only been functional since about 15 June.

On the train late but looking at getting some quotes over the next couple weeks. From what I am reading it is best to get nothing smaller than a 3kw system...Have I been reading correctly?

I've had three quotes for 5kW systems.

I'll bring them into work tomorrow and detail them.

I've been quoted two types of panels from three different manufacturers and three different inverters.

Geez, its amazing how the same sized systems can have such varied quotes, and such varied estimated outputs. Must be some pretty average gear out there.

They took the confusing-ness out of it because I didn't speak to one salesman. All either electricians or installers. Made it easy.

have had calls from lots of companies, and yes it is a minefield out there so you need to do some homework and familiarise with what is being offered by way of panels and inverters, i have been on solarquotes.com.au where there is a lot of info and tips on what to do and need to know before you sign on the dotted line.

Today just to throw a spanner in the works i get a call from a mob that sells panels with a micro inverter in each one instead of having 1 central inverter...........**** its time for a beer or 20!

I spoke to two solar companies at the Show yesterday.
Asked the question about "How do you install to protect a Colourbond roof from electrolytic corrosion?", both reps looked blank.
When I explained it, one shrugged, and the other said he assumed the electrician who does their installations knows what to do.

We got our system in July and have recently had days of 33 and 34kwh peaking at 36.5.

And yesterday we got our first real quarterly bill. $44.18. Stoked!
