Burns hopefully, my mail he had to sort some family stuff in Adelaide tho. Things may have changed.
Sumich would be next in line, no doubt, if Burns doesn't take it

Pretty meh on both those candidates, have ever been a fan of Sumich. It his experience as an Assitant has been excellent, Burns failed with the midfielders in his role but maybe that has something o do with the cattle... I would like someone completely outside of the club.

Already gone: Nicoski, Hams, Dick, Embley, Adam Selwood.

Still plenty that would be questionable and with Glass and Cox likely to retire at end of 2014 the time is now for the broom to come out. Need to target pace and midfielders who can penetrate with their skills ala Goddard, Should be targeting Yarran and a quality mid along with drafting for the same needs.

More time into players like Wilson who showed a lot, Lycett needs to have 3/4 games at a time not one then out. Dalziell earns himself another year but he is only depth, Huge fan of Shuey but massive years needed from him and Gaff otherwise might find themselves on the table. Scott Selwood needs to be only a run with player.

Forward line is quality, backline needs work and need to look at a small lock down defender in the Morris from Richmond mould, too many times small lacy forwards get a hold of Butler and Adam Selwood but our Mids are our biggest weakness especially when Nic Nat is not feeding them on a platter.

Big year for our list management staff

There is no doubt that midfielders will be on our radar with pick 6 and Pick 20 odd. Pick 6 needs to be a Jaeger O'Meara or Wines type player who ready to play straight away, not a Brad Sheppard type. Leg speed is a major issue.
Shuey is a gun when fit, Masten had a career best year for me,but doesn't run defensively at all, Priddis does the same week in week out. I disagree with S.Selwood. I think he is to good of a player to be just a run with guy. Wellingham I'm not sold on being in the centre square. Gaff must gain at least 5kg and work on his inside game more.We need another quality midfielder badly. All these retirements should free up a lot of cash and we may make a move on a gun midfielder. Someone like D.Martin would be an ideal fit for us in the midfield. Don't think Richmond will let him go cheaply, if at all.

Our back line looks good and has been solid this year and for years to come. Always helps with Glass going around again. McKenzie has been excellent and with Brown, Schofield Hurn and Waters, our back line looks solid. A quick lock down small forward would be handy tho. Both Wilson and Carter have shown enough in their first year to say they will be players of the future.
Our ruck stocks look good. Cox can play more as a forward, Nic Nat takes over when fit,and Lycett and Sinclair have shown in patches that they can play.
Our forward line is in desperate need of a small forward. With Cox, Darling,Kennedy, Lecras up forward, we have enough goal kicking power, just need a specialist crumbling forward.
The only problem with all these retirements is that perennial list cloggers like Cripps, Sheppard, Morton, Bennell get another year.
I'm not at all fussed who gets it, but I'm leaning towards Sumich, his résumé is very good, done his time, but as long as its not Neil Craig, or Kevin Sheedy, I will be happy.

Best thing about Worsfold leaving is we won't have to put up with petulant press conferences anymore.

Could say the same about Roos and his constant dribble on the SWANfooty channel. Unfortunately it will only be a 3 year hiatus.

Never heard Roos being petulant at a press conference. Do you know the difference?

In your opinion.
Going by what he said tonight Sydney didn't even want him talking to their academy players next year

IMO? Winning a premiership gives a little cred as well. Why would Sydney want him having anything to do with their academy players? He will be coaching a different side.

Woosha's won one as well. You just don't like the guy and that is the real crux of the matter.

How would you know? Actually liked woosha as a player and a coach. Something happened to him in the last season and a half which has resulted in him acting like a twat.
