Cheers
Nothing is wrong with that at all, clearly he cannot say anything directly against Gillard or it would lead to a leadership ballot when again he may not have the numbers, its his minders and collegues that use him as a tool against Gillard and her factional friends that run the ALP.
I did notice though that Kevin said that he likes to "wear a blue tie" in direct reference to Gillards claim that the Blue Tie brigade were there to further regulate abortion. Does that constitute mocking Julia Gillard?
Not at all. He was asked why he was wearing a blue tie and simply stated that a third of the ties he wears are blue (as they are for most men). If he was not wearing a blue tie, they would have tried to make an issue of the fact that he had deliberately not read blue.. distancing himself from her comments.
You can't win with the media!!
The blue tie Rudd wore last night was an absolute shocker. I'd sack his wife as consultant if she wasn't worth so much

Bottom line, even assuming that there is no swing to the liberals after the last election (there will be though) with retiring mmebers Abbot is already sitting on 75 seats.
Just needs one seat to fall in NSW or QLD (where the ALP are going to get smashed) and he is in.
Now they might save some seats in QLD now with the parochial vote for Kev13, but the flip side of that is Labors two most marginal seats are in Victoria so Deaklin and Corangomite will probably fall to the Coalition.
Irrespective of last nights result Mrs Abbott may as well start measuring what drapes she wants in The Lodge!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
Abbott’s apparent electability only ever really improved because of the electorate’s even more dire view of Gillard. If you look at Abbott’s approval ratings, they have overwhelmingly recorded a net negative throughout his 3½ years in the job. The net negatives, if anything, have got bigger, even before the return of Rudd.
He risks, as a result, being seen as the last vestige of the “old” nasty and negative politics of the minority government era.
THE Liberal Party is investigating the purchase of fake followers of Tony Abbott on Twitter.
On Saturday night the Opposition Leader's follower numbers soared from 157,000 to 198,000. In the days leading up to the surge, his follower numbers had been growing by about 3000 a day.
Just before midday yesterday, Coalition campaign headquarters used the Liberal Party of Australia Facebook page to reveal "that someone last night began buying Fake Twitter followers for Tony Abbott's Twitter account".
