I can't believe I only just realized Cudlee Creek Golf Club is closed, for good. :(

Pays to do your research. Went up there for a hit today and I am greeted to a permanently closed sign and a once beautiful course becoming overgrown with weeds and grass. Very upsetting.

By far my favorite par 3.

Yep. Went up ther 3 times last year, introduced the course to my brother and he too loved it. I went as recently as Novemeber and had no idea closure was imminent.

The owners were retiring and heading to the city, they were hoping for the new owner to keep it going but from what I saw, unfortunately that is not the case.

Such a shame. Best par 3 in Adelaide. Beautiful course and a strong variety of holes. I'll miss it.

I blame going to the range last sunday!!

the bonus was the feed and the booze

Cheers for coming along. It was a very good day indeed. Invite is there again next year if you are interested.

Finished third in the C grade at the Balaklava Open. 27 holes was a battle.

Also qualified for the C grade club championships this Sunday. Another 27 holes.

Shot 100 Saturday morning (nett 73) and then 163 on Sunday (blasted 60+ on the back 9  ) but had two 51s on the front 9 from 27 holes.

Won the long drive, so came away with a bottle of wine and a golf ball from 45 holes of golf. Also played A grade footy Saturday arvo. The legs are very sore today.

I'm not up there with a lot of you guys that's for sure, but I did play the North course yesterday 0- was in great condition coming out of winter, so green! Plus, I shot 79 which is my second best score there so I was happy. Drove 305m on the par 4 14th, almost sitting it in the bunker which was fun!

Agree its a shame.
Used to drive through Cudlee Creek for years on the way to Gawler dogs on Tuesday afternoons without ever checking it out. Had a bad day on the punt one day and left early and decided to stop off for a hit. Loved it and used to regularly call in there on the way home for a quick round. Loved it (well sometimes anyway)

Ha! Had a month off due to an overseas holiday and it appears I have left my golf swing somewhere in the UK. Never had so many issues to correct in a short space of time :oops:

I know the feeling Heater, footy injuries and other commitments have seen me play very little golf in the last 6-7 weeks.
I had 29pts sunday but would have 3 putted at least 8-9 holes.
The only positive I can take out of it is that Im bombing my driver long and straight.
get on board the thunder train!!!

I can't even get off the tee properly. But I have a fix for that.....got home from golf on Sunday to catch that Golf Show on One, they provided a fix for me within 5 minutes....

I've developed a consistent hook, which varies from a wild hook to a delightful draw, off the tee. I can't explain that but I do have a driver with an adjustable head. Anyone dabbled with these?

With the club head speed a young fit guy like yourself probably generates, you should have a stiff flex stainless steel shaft and 9.5 loft IMHO.

I have graphite regular flex 10.5

I don't try to generate huge club speed off the tee, I just try to keep the ball in play!
