My mail is he came to Adelaide for work reasons, transfer or something like that which is in or near Gawler, i do know one thing Herzick would be sitting back at the ponderosa smiling like a chesire cat whilst rubbing his hands together

Donnies on a serious slide...? Arses handed to them again today? Surely you can't tell me baker is worth 15-16 goals a week!
Bombers big winners at rover park today. The big wind telling, but able to hold on till the final siren. Race for 3rd and 4th not so clear cut.

Yep huge win today, keeps us right in the mix.
Reckon South are safe in 3rd and the rest of us are fighting for 4th.
Some of the margins today and during the year would be a little concerning for the league id imagine, a couple of sides appear to be fairly non competitive

For Willaston, it's not just the losses, but the size of them which would be concerning to the club.
In Nuri's case, who can follow them? They win games they're expected to lose and lose games they should win. I smell a betting scandal coming up!

Apparently the Nuri ruckman had a massive brain fade and gave away a stupid free kick to Buckets before the ball had been bounced back in the centre in the dying seconds. Kapunda went forward and kicked the goal that clinched the game.
Can you confirm that RR? Believe that some of the Nuri guys are really dirty that the free was given away in that manner.

Re: BL&G Football League
Two big games this weekend in Kapunda v Tanunda and Gawler Central v South Gawler.
Kapunda's season will be on the razor's edge if they can't pluck a win this week! Should be a few returning this week for them so not without a chance.

I thought it was 1 player per club maximum plus perhaps an under 23 if you had one that made the grade. The squad was in The Bunyip yesterday and there are no more than 2 players from any club. Took the paper home from the office yesterday so I can't give you the names...

That was the idea, as to not affect each club in the way it has with Tanunda previously.
Good in theory, but still weakens the team, and definitely weakens the concept of pitting the best vs the best.

I think most people are well past the 'best against the best' stage by now. Association footy just isn't something that seems to have much support outside of junior grades. Clubs don't want their best at risk of getting injured (like Westhoff last year)for a 20 minute a side carnival arrangement.
It cheapens the whole process when you know you haven't got the best playing like in the BLG with a maximum players per club rule. Trying to enforce the rule just ends up in ridiculous situations where blokes are suspended for not being available through injury...
Just do away with rep footy for anyone over the age of 23 and be done with it....
