Mayor Quimby wrote:Has that Willaston goal umpire been sacked and banned yet? Couple of dubious decisions on the weekend vs South with one of them in crunch time when south were 9 pts down. And it was a goal. A CLEAR GOAL.
Now all you who read this and go "..yeah but goal umpires sometimes get it wrong, they arent professionals etc. etc...." slap yourselves. This was straight through the middle and he knew it.
In saying that, it was an entertaing game to watch.
Also, any news on the Willaston under 17's player that jumped the fence and "allegedly" struck one of Souths's players? Surely this absolutley disgraceful, cowardly and gutless act is being investigated by the higher ups. Should be a ban for the season atleast if you ask me.
Went and watched this game and what an absolute discrace that decision was. Clearly a goal even the willaston players that all started to run back to the centre must have thought the same thing. Also heard that the same umpire paid a goal to willastons full forward afta a ball that trickled of his thight went through.
Yes that was the other dubious decision i was referring to, although i didnt actually see that one.

Every chance it won't be!
Be careful he's known to go walkabouts.
Waylon johncock lining up for the tigers tomorow
When it comes to winning you need the skill and the will

Very disappointing day for the Bombers today. Lost the A grade by 2 goals in a real hard and physical encounter. Not a lot of depth in the reserves either but more concerning would be the situation with juniors at the club. The 17's had to borrow 4 players from South to field a side and went down by over 100 and the 15's got towelled up by a side who hadnt won a game. How are junior numbers going at other clubs or is it just us who are struggling?
Huge win for the football club Saturday. Backs against the wall at quater time. The lads lifted and took control of the game in the last quater. Standing in the crowd the Tanunda sponsors tent went very quiet after half time. Nuri haven't played a "bad" game of football since beating Gawler central. Against both barossa and south the lads were in a position to win the game. Really hope they can continue to play like they have been. It's been a vast contrast from last year, only thing is the win column isn't high enough. The loss to Freeling may be the difference between making finals. Other side of the coin is do they deserve to be there when you lose to Freeling. This weekend against Wilaston is a massive game for the club.
Was there a post on here about a Goal Umpire of questionable character a while back? Was it South Gawler? Had 3 'malfunctions' of fair magnitude today. One was a goal that missed by a foot and then some... Travelling light is a man without a conscience or integrity.....
Nuri up by 14 goals yesterday. Excellent four quater effort. Wilaston coaching staff have a few questions to answer after going in with that much size. Few blokes looking pretty unfit out there.

Wow didnt see that coming. Has spiced up the fight for finals. Top 2 is a lock but now going to be an interesting battle for 3 and 4

Willaston will be playing finals in 2013. Once Baker returns all will be back on track.

Baker played.
He's still carrying an injury. Once he is over that in two or three weeks they will be back on track. Doing some hard training now getting ready for finals so expect a bit of a lull.
Is everything going smoothly at the Donnies? Have heard one of their imports has been flicked to free up points to allow Elijah Ware to be a late transfer. Any truth that Les Baker also got his marching orders after only being back for a couple of weeks? Any other clubs looking to bolster their sides before the cut off next week?

I see Jamie Scott has applied for a clearance from Willaston to Centrals
