have seen plenty of "ice sprays" in AFL also.......
Have also seen plenty of AFL and SANFL players fall over like they have been knocked out after they are touched with a finger nail from the opposition, or fall over in a gust of wind to con the umpires. Happens in ALL sports.

Johncock's dive at Alberton was worse than any I've seen in soccer for a while. ;)

Surely even the biggest of die hard fans can't justify the diving in soccer?

i dont condone diving, but i am saying ALL sports do it.ANYONE caught diving IMO should be straight red card

Diving in football is now a yellow card offence.

But it happens in all sports.Faking injuries and diving or whatever you call it happens everywhere.

Yep every sport has its own form of diving/playing for frees and to be honest soccer is the one sport where diving is slightly on the decline, these days every small forward in the AFL is 'flopping' at every chance they get. The big one in the AFL at the moment as well is the 'diving' forward so a players falls on your back.

The only defence i have in some cases for players falling over in soccer, is how many people have been sprinting 100% and had another person running at 100% then ankle tap them unexpectedly, YOU ARE GOING TO FALL OVER no matter how small the tap, watch rugby league and the ankle tap is a legimate and most effective way to bring down some of the units running around.

Another drunk experiment to try is let someone run full pelt at you from 20 yards away with studs on and then stamp right on the middle of your foot, it doesnt tickle not on the foot anyway.

As Bully said though, diving where there is no contact SHOULD be a straight red everytime, would only need to do it a few times and players would catch on.

thats ok but my initial post was about a player that got stretched off and then basically ran straight back on to the ground. have never seen a AFL do that, in fact i'm pretty sure if you get taken off by a stretcher you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can come back on.

Wanye Carey is the last bloke in AFL football that I can recall re entering the game after being taken off on a stretcher. It was v Adelaide at Footy Park and was before Port entered the AFL.

Wasn't there a game where someone was being carried off on a stretcher and jumped off the stretcher before the boundary line and ran back to his position?

Yep the AFL stretcher rule is one of the best rules they have brought in.
