Even as a Carlton fan I don't mind Eddie (except when commentating Pies games) but he really is as dumb as a box of hammers isn't he...???

Was only last week that me and a mate were chatting and were saying love him or hate him he would be a brilliant president to have at any football club. We were also saying he would probably have been the best football club president we had seen in our lifetimes.

This will hurt him badly, he may be forced to resign, it was an extremely dumb and ridiculous comment to make. He should have just left the topic alone.

Agree but I think there will be ALOT of pressure from outside sources and other media sources to push him over.

Personally can't see channel 7 and 10 letting this go easily or quickly

Looks like its a case of follow the leader at collingwood
Eddie is probably the best president the afl has seen in many years
But to say what he did after what transpired on Friday night was ridiculous

Have you listened to it? It wasn't even funny, was kind of awkward. What was funny was him trying to get out of it seemed to keep digging himself further into trouble and just made it worse.

Turn it up. Costa leaves Eddie for dead. Frank Costa doesn't have Eddie's TV connections and he wasn't president of the club with the most fans either but we went from being flat broke and not being able to win a chook raffle to being three time premiers and significant improvements being made to our home ground. Eddie's been good (except for this morning) but Frank Costa is a legend. This bloke stood up to the Mafia FFS.

Thats part of what makes Eddie so good as a president, he has the ability to use the media and his connections to his advantage.

I would be happy with either as the president of my club i just love the way Eddie has set Collingwood up for the next zillion years and has fought off things such as clash guernseys, clubs fighting over ANZAC Day/Blockbuster games etc etc
