Hard round to tip (although they all are at the moment!!)
Kapunda 15+ : both teams struggling, I think kapunda might have a bit too much size for the young panthers
Willaston 25+ : too strong for the red legs, from outside reports willaston sound like they have a good balance of speed, height and ball winners, think this will cause a few head aches for the legs!
Gawler central 20+: Tanunda under manned in defence, centrals have a quality forward line, if the skillful centrals midfield find enough clean footy against a quality magpies midfield then they will be hard to stop
Draw: south and nuri, evenly matched, nuri a few out. Not sure on lawry playing? Plus depends if nuri show up, causing plenty of head aches for tipsters.

Getting some pay back after years of dominating their opponents.

Certainly not as strong and how they handle having to work a little harder will be the test but the cornered craniums aren't known for throwing in the towel so i wouldn't write them off in an even competition.

Only one thing worse Toronto.........Ango, Nuri and Tanunda winning on the same weekend (however the chances of that happening are pretty slim at this point in time)

Tanunda have had thier day in the sun have lost to many players along with the premiership coach and other clubs have recruited well, Herzick seems to have the tigers ticking over nicely ATM finals bound one would think

Massive game coming up this week and what may be a grand final preview. Central and Willaston should be an absolute cracker and worth travelling a long way to see. If the weather is good, there should be some excellent footy on show.

No problems here Toronto, early in the season and with serious history of choking during the finals, the cup will more than likely stay with one of the Barossa/Light clubs.

Went out and watched this game. First game I've seen in the BLG as well. I was very surprised by how small Tanunda were. Seemed like the Tigers just had a bit more polish then the magpies and not for a second quarter comeback from Tanunda the score would of been far worse.

Your probably right Skipper but it wont be Nuri or Ango. Remind me, when was the last time these 2 clubs made the finals consistently? Rather be there in September than not at all?

I wouldn't right them off just yet. Still lots of class in their side.

Tad harsh there Binney, Nuri and Ango are having a rough trot but will bounce back, the ammount of cash being spent at the Dog track you would want to see some sort of return from it.
Premierships are all that matter, who cares how many times a side has played finals if they keep crashing out.

Only early but looking likely that Willaston, Centrals and Barossa will play finals, Tanunda, South, Kapunda and maybe Nuri to fight for fourth whilst Freeling and Ango look like battling for the spoon

I think you will find Skip is having a small joke but he/she is a total hypocrite as skippy's side made the GF 3 years running and failed on all occasions (Freeling not a Barossa side).

Ango won in 03 and I think played off with us in 09, better than the clubs that we are discussing, Nuri still living off their run in the late 90's to 02 and a hand full of B grade flags, about where I would like them to be. Don't write us Blockies off just yet, slightly undermanned with some injuries, agars to get fit after his trip OS, I think we will look reasonably good come finals.

right there swooper, if it wasn't for 1 quarter in 09 that flag would of been ours! still rue that day!
learnt all about the premiership quarter that day.
loved belting Willaston in 03
and loved knocking out centrals in 03 and 04 prelims
add the 09 first semi too
can see a choke coming on from this far out
my money on a Barossa club again this year
good to see the rivalry still alive

Ah Swoop you are still with us, yes we did choke 3 years running due to a bunch off mecenaries that never wanted to play for the club, I wonder if this may happen to some other clubs this season.

So is Mike Teakle writing a retraction of his virtually fact-less rant about young Matt Good in next week's Herald? Pretty average when you paint a poor public picture of teenager and a football club without speaking to anyone involved.
