Not complaining, but you would think Daniel Stewart would be ahead of Butcher on current form.

I guess Port are technically rebuilding, and part of that would be looking at your entire list.

I only saw the last quarter and a half, but when I read this morning that NM had 18 more free kicks than Power I was surprised, didnt notice it all that much when I was watching but its like having an extra player giving away that many. I have no idea if the umpiring was particularly bad but when you only go down by 10 and give away that many possessions it hurts. As much as I hate to admit it I really enjoy watching how the Power are going about their footy this year, they really do never give in.

One of the umpires apparently felt so "appreciated" he felt the need to pat a NM player on the backside after he'd just kicked a goal.

I'd be curious as to how that could be a good look given the differential in frees in this game.

The game was rigged no doubt about it.

AFL need North winning so they can stop having to bail them out all the time.

Why would an umpire do this?

Thats a disgrace, hopefully he gets a holiday for that.
I dont mind the umps using the players first names and being friendly but that crosses the line IMO

My impression from watching AFL on TV is that the central Melbourne based teams always seem to get a better run from the Umps than teams from anywhere else.
Even Geelong get short changed a bit in the marginal decisions.

Are all AFL Umps from Melbourne?

delist John Butcher at the end of the year while he has a smidgen of trade value left.

Corey Reichart is possibly the worse key position defender in the SANFL and he owned him today.

Even the one club supporters today were calling for Butchers head.

Butcher is definitely struggling, seems to have lost confidence and his body is letting him dowm, and lack of pre season hasn't helped him.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope he'll get an uninterrupted pre-season this upcoming off-season

What do you know about the game!

Anyone who cant see his struggling and is at the crossroads bigtime is dilusional.

Oh well nearly the whole Power Squad watched his pathetic performance today from the top of the Alan Scott Building.

I don't think he should be played as a forward. He is a terrible shot for goal, but pin point pass around the ground. Give him a couple of games at CHB and let him just run

I've since read that the umpire may have been reaching for - or returning - a drink bottle, which I guess may be feasible.

Well now the AFL is apparently saying the umpire patted him (Wells) on the back for calling him the wrong name earlier on.

Not good enough really.
