Re: Division C4 2013
I was told that MP were caught playing a few unregistered players last week.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I asked the question of the person I spoke to and they did not know. You would assume the penalty on the club would be swift and hard

You're reeking of desperation now lads. Did not happen to the best of my knowledge. I think there were a couple that were registered but didnt appear on the website.
Had a great day watching the C's. What an epic game! Down by 7 goals at three quarter time the lads came storming back to get within 3 points. We went forward again but they rebounded and kicked a goal after the siren.
And no, no-one backed up from the Bs or As, other than Shane Kulmer who only played a quarter in the Bs.

Either I was told the truth and you are wrong or I wasn't told the truth and you are right. A decision will happen this week or it will not. That will determine who was correct

Maybe. You know what these things are like. Chinese whispers and the like...
Assuming youre talking about the Flinders uni game! Had a quick check and all of those players are legit and should be registered. One or two were cleared that week though....

Based on what ive seen from results, I dont think Mitchell Park would've had much trouble taking care of Flinders Uni regardless of a few players playing or not.morell wrote:Maybe. You know what these things are like. Chinese whispers and the like...

Re: Division C4 2013
Good hard game at M park today that sends me to a damn ice bath for the first time this year. Great tastefull support given by their A and B grade and a good atmosphere. Also great to see some of the combatants having a beer together post game. I don't think any one player stood out. A great even contest and a good game of Footy. I copped my fair share physically and emotionally but the good wins are the ones you earn. As C4 footy goes this was a good display by all involved.

Wasn't unregistered was players under the wrong names. There was one specifically that our umpire and I both know was down as the wrong name, umpire was going to to him votes and couldn't find his real name on the sheet . I haven't said anything as it is in the leagues hands. We'll see what happens.

And a tan? Perhaps he lost weight too.
A fresh tan, a new haircut and some lost weight can be very deceiving.

Could be well wrong, by my spies tell me that PNU were doing it comfortably before taking the foot off and switching off in the last which was when MP came flying back, but PNU never felt they were in danger of losing despite how close MP were getting and didn't play at 100%..

Re: Division C4 2013
3 points down with 30 seconds to go. That is a fair old risk to take! We dropped a mark in our forward 50 as well which would have given us a chance to win the game, they instead took it straight out and as we were overcommitted forward they kicked the last goal of the game after the siren.
But yeah, most of us probably thought it would have been a good effort to get within 10 goals of them, so to nearly pinch it was an awesome effort. PNU still the much better side though.
Not unbeatable, maybe a sneaky B Grader or two could have been the difference. *cough*

I was definately stunned by the effort, i didnt see any side getting within any sort of distance of PNU this year.
3 points down.. but how were the 1st 3/4's? Are reports i got back correct? Were PNU all over the parkers until the last?
MP needed that young L. McDonnell that played in Rd 1

Re: Division C4 2013
PNU kicked 5 goals to 0 with a pretty strong wind in the first quarter, we actually joked with a couple of the lads that with this breeze we're "practically winning!". Hahaha.
MP came out and kicked the first 3 of the second quarter, PNU then kicked a couple and it "to and fro'ed" until half time. I think PNU were up by about 4 or 5 at half time. PNU then dominated the third, all over us like a cheap suit, we stacked the back-lines and the crowd provided plenty of pressure so we stemmed the flow somewhat to go into 3/4 time with a slim chance, but we needed everything to go right and kick 7 goals without reply.
We kicked 6.
Our side was probably of similar strength to the one that played you. We had Charlie Georges, Craig Ryan, Kevin Heffernan, Reno Viscione, Lucas Poerio, Mark Sansome, Shane Kulmer who have all played various degrees of A and B Grade over the years but for whatever reason - not training, fitness, age, motivation, have found themselves in the C's. It was a strong side. The A's and B's did have a laugh at 3/4 time when we all suggested we suit up.
That is the thing, our C Grade will probably fluctuate in the magnitude of 10-20 goals each week depending on who is available.
