Re: Division C4 2013
Don't really want to go on about this, however i am a bit confused.
Did TTG have the right to stay down? I know no one wanted to go up, but if they do have the right to stay in 7 why wasn't this enforced. Surely it would have made it one up , one down. The league could have enforced this.
Anyway, would this have made a difference to TTG's numbers. All of a sudden they find 21 players because they are 1 division lower, i doubt it. TTG should have ballsed up when they realised they had no one at training and told the league to put them in a C Grade division.

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts....

probably the last month before the start of the season is when problems started to happen for TTG

I suspect this year the top few sides will be streets ahead and then the rest will be log jammed fighting for position, promises to be a good year

After this round we will have 2 sides on 4 points and 6 teams on 2 points with Flinders Park the only side without a win!

Wow good work! Well done! Good result after last weeks game - i know Flinders Park copped a hammering as well, but it must feel good to come back and grab an important win and so close too!
I suspect this year the top few sides will be streets ahead and then the rest will be log jammed fighting for position, promises to be a good year
The feeling was relief, because I think if the game went for a few more minutes Flinders would have walked away with it, but as someone who has won about 8 games in 60 attempts, it does feel good to get a win so early in the season.
I agree and I said the same yesterday, I think there will be about 3 stand out teams and then the rest should be fairly even. Could be some very interesting results today I recon.

We could have fielded a much, much, much, stronger side than that one but out of respect for our C Graders, Ingle Farm and footy in general we decided to select a mostly C Grade side but with a few ring ins who we wanted to get some fitness into.
And how'd the C grade go today? 79 point loss..
I hate dwelling on the past, but this has me so cranky, i dont think i'll let this go for a long time.. it'll sit and manifest in the pits of my stomach.. Round 10 cant come quick enough!!!

Geez you can talk some f**cking shit.. 10 played b grade today and 2 played A grade, None of your best players played and of the 26 goals you kicked last week, only 3 goals came from todays C grade lineup

Re: Division C4 2013
Big thanks to Lockleys who put beers on for us after the game. Sensational gesture that was very much appreciated and it got about 15 of our lads in their club rooms after the game for an hour or so.
The game of Footy was a pretty good contest as well with PNU just probably taking their chances a little better. The other thing that has been pleasantly surprising has been the quality of the 4 umpires that have been involved. They have all been fair kept the game safe and been not overly noticeable which is a very good thing.

I repeatedly said we fielded a very strong C Grade side with B graders and fringe A Graders. I repeatedly said it sucked for Ingle Farm and it was unlucky. Not sure what you want? Blood? Sacrificed virgin? Some sort of other penance?
What perhaps you might not be aware of is how many players we had to call up just to field a C Grade this week, mostly because of the fact the A Grade nicked a couple of B Graders, which mean our B Grade needed to nick C graders. That combined with a few C Graders stepping it up on the training track meant they got a game in the B's. We aren't 3 separate teams, we're one club, players move up and down according to form and necessity, not the whims of bitter rival clubs nor their emotional coaches.
Fact is, we could have fielded a much stronger side against you, but decided not to out of respect. None of our core B grade suited up and we rotated our better players all day. Next time, as I think we will have the bye in the B's again, I am going to encourage us to play a full B Grade squad against you with some A's who need a rest just to see you cry like a girl who scraped her knee - much like you are doing in this thread.
I understand you're a new coach, it's clear you have a lot to learn. The first lesson might perhaps be to focus on the controllables.

Re: Division C4 2013
Cheers to Para Hills for hosting Friday night, especially seeing it meant we got to watch the A's win their first game for 3 years Saturday. The boys loved playing under lights, it's something we wish we could do at home but apparently ultimate frisbee is more important to the uni. Just glad next time around your ex AFL player will be busy coaching the A grade instead of cutting us up the middle, was definately the difference

It's crazy how popular that sport is becoming
We played Kilburn under lights, our boys loved it also, it definately is a good idea and frees up the weekend to support the A and B grades!

Gee, take your medicine.
You made a claim that the "vast majority" of your side was your intended C Grade. Apparently 12 players played higher, including all your best players from the previous week plus 23 out of 26 goals.
You got owned, it's not the end of the world though, so just pull your head in.
