I agree. If you get off to a good start like you did in Round 3 last year then you are a very good chance. If we break even earlyt then I think the Cats can hold on in a tough one. Your smaller forwards are the likely dangers for us rather than Petrie and Tarrant IMO. No Boomer is a big out for you in this game though as he cut us up in the corresponding match last year.

Not going to get carried away with that win, our Ressies would touch that mob up at the moment.

I thought Essendon got a bit cute and complacent in the last 10 minutes.
Such was their dominance they could have rattled on 3-4 more goals without using any more energy or risking injury.

Those little 'resting on your laurels' moments have a habit of coming back to bite you at some stage of the season.

I'd be very surprised if they had that many there.

i'd be surprised if they had 100 supporters there. would of been better to have more there but the 25,000 that was made plenty of noise.

Port board on bigfooty coming up with conspiracy theories regarding the crowd numbers. They want independent counters of the crowd.

I'd admit it did seem like a lot more then 25,000 there. me and 2 mates went and couldn't get 3 seats in standard terrace and that was before 6pm. A lot of seats empty in the members and the northern grandstand though.

Yes 55,000 is a poor crowd but kudos to the 5,000 Melbourne supporters who rocked up to witness their worst ever loss at the MCG ;)

pathetic crowd when gws would of been lucky to have 100 people there. put a essendon or carltin and would of been in the 30,000 mark easily. Also not too bad seeing the crows only had 28261 against gws last year
