Nope, watching 2 of the bottom 4 sides this year I think

Port bottom 4?

I'd wager against that.

Save your money just yet Booney ..... they beat the worst team in the history of the AFL ...... even though they did show some very good signs.

True that GWS and GC also look to have improved, but difficult not to not be optimistic about the year ahead.

Still thought Port's forward entries in the second half were pretty sloppy but they were already well up and Melbourne's pressure was almost non-existent.
Certainly a fantastic performance still and really liked the games of Boak, Ebert, Pittard, Jonas, Lobbe, Trengove, Monfries and Paul Stewart in particular with first gamers Wines, Mitchell and Neade showing a bit. One consolation for Dean Terlich is that this result should ensure he gets a game next week.

Back to the coherent:
The 3rd qtr we were smashed, which in the end cost us. They had late withdrawals, less fit players etc and still showed us up. Our delivery to our forwards was laughable and yet with 4 mins to go, we were a chance.
Pies are top 4, we need to win 2 of our next 4 to stay in finals contention, even this early.

The best part for Port is Renouf, Logan, Cassisi,Thomas, Gray, Butcher, *ahem* Hitchcock, played SANFL and Brett Ebert is to return. We haven't had that for a long, long time.
