Considering that its been shown that Julia Gillard lied about plotting to overthrow him as PM, I would say its more than fair enough that he has as many goes at taking the job back as he likes until he succeeds. He was the democratically elected Prime Minister of our country and was deposed not by the people by by the factions of his government. The people should decide who gets to be the PM, not a political party.
Still, Eddie Obeid in NSW is likely going to do Julia Gillard a lot more damage than Kevin Rudd ever could, how many Federal ALP politicians have now been brought into it and Sports bet keep blowing the odds out even further for the ALP accordingly.

Denis Napthine is reported to be taking over as premier.
The resignation came during a crisis meeting in the Liberal Party at 7pm tonight after controversial MP Geoff Shaw left the party earlier today.
Applause was heard coming from the party room during the crisis meeting.
Mr Shaw's withdrawal denies the Liberals their absolutely majority in the lower house of parliament, with the Frankston MP now heading to the crossbench.
Mr Shaw said he quit the party because he had lost confidence in Mr Baillieu, The Age reports.
