So far. Dunedin in NZ. Not sure I'd like to go there during Winter though. Napier was also pretty good but apparently it's right on a fault line.

regards,

REB

F**king freezing there but it's a good place, the chocolate factory there is great. Napiers really nice aswell, first pebble beach I've ever seen was Napier beach. We had some beautiful weather there the second to last time my family travelled to NZ. Tauranga, north of Napier where my Aunt lives is a nice place too.

Dunedin is lovely. Larnach Castle was sensational. Very, very cold however, as everyone has said. Been there twice, and rained all four days both times. Was on a cricket tour both times and never bowled a ball in anger on either tour. Went down to Invercargill, which believe it or not, was even colder.

Loved NZ and a lovely place. Have always maintained Queenstown the most beautiful place I have seen in the world. Was there for just on 7 weeks for both tours. Toured both islands and both the North Island and South Island are lovely, with the south being far more tourist orientated.

Queenstown, the amazing Milford Sound, Dunedin, Invercargill, Christchurch, Mt Cook and landing on the Franz Joseph glacier on a ski plane and so much more are forever etched in my mind when thinking about NZ. Cricket was good as well, with many beautiful little grounds, and we were lucky to have played at 4 of the Test venues, which is nice to look at when on TV, and remembering

I heard amazing things about New Orleans when I was in the States but never got a chance to get there.

NYC now tops my list, still followed by Melbourne.

But did you get to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in Anglesey?
Joking about the name aside, it is a nice little town.

Our tour guide coached us on the way there in 2011, as the local shopkeepers are inclined to test the visitors.
We went through on our way to catch the ferry to Dublin.

It is a beautiful place -and especially if you like the peace and quiet - as there's bugger all to do at night except go to the pub or a penguin tour ;)

The seafood is 2nd to none, I love the fact that the only fish and chip shop in the main strip has people lining up outside at 4pm and watch their crayfish come off the boat and into the shop and the menu in general is dependant on what they happen to catch the night before ;) =P~

*edit* sadly - I report that the West Coast Wilderness Railway ran for the last time at the end of April - The government cut funding and couldn't come up with the cash to keep up the high maintenance required. Almost 200 years of history down the tube. :(
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Disappointing to hear about the Wilderness Railway, FC. I didn't do it, but talked to a few people who did and it was sounds like I missed out.

I can pronounce it too. Just force a dozen beers into me then feed me a couple of dodgy snags off the barbie, and it will just roll off my tongue. 8)
