All signed 1 year deals apparently (apart from Jonas' 2).

Most will probably be delisted at the end of next season.

Thanks Dom for all you've done as our skipper through utter shit times, you know - fronting the media time after time after time after time after being flogged when pretty much you were the only one putting your body on the line and going in hard. At least you've been replaced by someone (who up until a few months ago was possibly leaving) and his deputy, who couldn't cut it in a good side.
Good luck with that.

I bet it wasn't mentioned in contract talks and now they've just lumped it on him!

Why would anyone want the job ATM, everyone that takes on some responsibility there gets shafted. I don't know who appointed the new captains, if its player voted or coaching panel so I suppose it's hard to judge from the outside if its a good move for the club or not.

Clueless.

Dom has done a wonderful job through tough times, no doubt. You note Boak was "possibly leaving", correct, but he didn't.

Ebert not cutting it in a good side? Hmmmm, I dont think WCE wanted to lose him and were resigned to the fact the go home factor was worth more than they would have paid him.

Much positive change taking place at Alberton, perfect time to appoint a new skipper.

Excellent appointments for Port, ushers in a new era lead by two quality players still with the peak of their careers ahead of them .. The process of climbing back up the ladder can't be done in 1 season when you start from a fair way back, but this off-season should provide the Port faithful with some genuine hope for the future.

The appointments Port have made in the last 6 months you could argue have been the best they have made in their short history in the AFL. Its a shame they werent made 3 years ago, however past is the past.

IMO the biggest test now for the Power will be the playing list as the coaching panel looks solid and the off field leadership definately stronger. I just cant see this list playing finals in the forseeable future as there are plenty of ifs and buts. If Gray and Hartlett cant start to play 75% - full seasons they are cooked, because without them they will struggle to win the close games which you need to sneak in to finals.
