Finding out this morning that the "thing" that I had removed from my nose during my sinus op was a basal something carcenoma ie; a cancer.

Now I have to go to a plastic surgeon because the ENT said he couldn't get all of it

Get a 2nd opinion. I was diagnosed with cancer once in my arm. Turned out to be a ruptured muscle.

You mean the plastic surgeon will - THe ENT honestly didn't think it was a cancer he sent it off for a biopsy an it proved otherwise.

I had a basal cell carcinoma on my back, a few years back. The doc was fairly relaxed about it. The BCCs aren't as serious as a melanoma, apparently, but they can turn nasty in time. So the doc cut mine out under a local.

What gives me the shits is getting a call a few days later telling me to come back 'coz the lab analysed what was cut out and the doc didn't get it all

Then, after the second hunk they cut out was analysed, no traces of the carcinoma were found - i.e. the doc did get it all the first time and I didn't need to get cut a second time
