Do u find its a tad of a meal replacement, a guy at work swears by a feel good a day 250 cals and he reckons it cuts down the portion size of his lunch and doesn't snack between lunch and dinner

Not really. Usually have a couple of muesli bars with my iced coffee and have it at morning tea.
It can be a meal replacement if Im severely hungover though.

it has 24g of protein in a 600ml which i'm shocked about. Still has a lot of sugar at 29g.

With cutting out the iced coffee I have cut out all dairy ( cheese, milk, ice creams etc...)

Have my soy cappacinno's now ( no I'm not a Norwood supporter ;) )

I am finding I feel a lot better and I used to get a lot if sinus infections but now feel fantastic ! Less blocked up and bloated.

Cut down on beer too ... Not that I drank heaps of it.

Love a cider though now ....what would be better ? A beer or cider ? I know ciders have a lot of sugar in them .

Catch 22 I guess ?
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

A low carb beer would be the best option, Strongbow do have a low carb cider but i have never had it or looked at its percentages.

Yeah its real surprising, i know a couple of guys who are body builders and on the very very very rare occasion they cant get their protein shake (for whatever reason) they will smash a feel good instead. Obviously no where near as good but if they are desperate they will use that.

Low carb beers have maybe 50 calories less than normal beers, so **** all really. Ciders are around the same as beers.

If you're having a 10 beer session, you're doing the diet thing wrong ;)

When I have a big beer session it'll undo at least a week's good work.
Should try and get used to vodka and tonic or something similar.
I played up in November/December but still regularly exercised, just not as often as other times, only put a couple of kilos on and more than wiped them off since New Years.
Love going out but I find once I miss going out one weekend its reasonably easy to keep up.
Plus I have the added incentive to save money for my Thailand trips. ;)
When I've dropped 30kgs and got back within the healthy weight range for my height I'll put up a detailed post explaining things I did. Hopefully I can manage that within 12 months of starting my health kick (25/3).
Hopefully someone might pick up something that's useful to them, I know I love reading others accounts and those muscle/fitness/health mags just to occasionally pick up a useful titbit that might help me lose some more weight/put on more muscle.

I lost 22kg over a year and abit with an easy and maintable workout/diet plan. Was starting to look at putting some decent muscle size on

Had a shoulder reconstruction 2 months ago and since then have been able to do stuff all of weights etc etc.

For the first month after the op i let my eating habits slip a fair bit and have struggled to get back into the routine. I only put on 1.5 kg so that isnt a bad result.

The misses serious about weight loss for the first time and is now will to listen to advice, so im back on the wagon, despite not being able to do anything more than theraband and cardio.

Wanna drop a couple more kilos and then build some decent size in particular, the pretty boys areas of six pack, biceps, triceps and pecs.

Stick to the beer. Probably more cals in a vodka and tonic (unless it's diet tonic).

The calories in alcoholic drinks come from the alcohol itself. So I reckon if you're gonna have a drink or two, then you you might as well drink something you really bloody enjoy.

Yeah I have to do a fair bit of core strength work had a history of 'bad' back

I cycle 25 minutes a day to work so I generally don't do alot of leg work but yeah I definatly should do more

Joined a local gym down my way.

Ive been doing the Les Mills programs like Body Pump, RPM (high intensity 60 min fitness bike work with music) and one night a week boxing session.

Sometimes do my own thing like go on tread mill and cross trainer for 30 - 40 min then do some weights for say 20 min. (Body Pump is a hign intensity weight class)

Sometimes run the streets of my suburb for 25 min (Happy Valley is hilly!!)

Cut down on breads and now just usually have a salad or wrap. No Dairy. Usually have a Swisse Slim Shake in the morning (with Rice Milk) to stop cravings in the day.

Still drink my diet cokes, soy coffee and water.

Very focused .....Just saying to Mrs Southee Im too scared to weigh myself as I dont want to get "let down" by my results.

Done properly, squats and deadlifts will strengthen your core and back.

just becareful with those body pump classes to make sure you are keeping correct form. A lot more worry about how many reps you can push out rather then doing the exercise properly.
