Thats OK the Borough dont lose at the 'G' often.......
anyway its those Toffs at Norwood we really want to play - hope they have a white jumper to change into.

When Westies play at the MCG they should play on less than half the ground and use the Auskick posts, otherwise it'll be even emptier on most the grass than in the stands.
other than me there will be about 5 other people at the game
The lights at The Parade should be good enough for TV. Its a shame that an opportunity for a good atmosphere has been passed up. Good promotion on a night with good weather could have seen a good turn out - Norwood is the only place in Adelaide where night footy is enjoyable because it is close to things to do before and after the game.

Come on mate Elizabeth Oval has three pubs within walking distance, we got the Aquadome, you could also take the misses out to dinner before hand at one of our classy dine outs like KFC, HJ's or Maccas

I never said footy and logic went together
An all red & blue final will be interesting especially as both clubs have the same song and were formed about the same time (Port 1874 & Norwood 1878). The first final was all blue and gold, the second was tigers v tigers so we have a theme going.
Since a lot of traditional VFA clubs folded, other than Williamstown, Port have lacked any real rival (previously Dandenong Redlegs).

And then there's The Louisiana! If you can't get a shag there pre-game, you must be uglier than Strawb! My ex missus drinks there!

I agree. I'd play a mix of Under 18s too.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck, TV preachers sell salvation for a buck. You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right, The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.
I do like the concept, but the only way I can see this competition working is to get it over and done with before the proper season starts. 4 weeks over pre-season in a knockout format with 16 teams starting.

What a Tw@t Rucci is. Bass makes no mention of a protest or a boycott, simply that the programming has changed from what the club signed up to, and that player management dictates some won't play as a result. And Rucci's obviously a bit thick too, stating we play 4 days later - clearly it's 3 days later, and he can't comprehend how Joe Tripodi's statement of 2 matches in 4 days is different from saying 4 days later. You'd hope a journalist would have a better grip on the English language!
As much as I hate Bassett - I agree with him 100 percent on this. Just goes to show how much contempt the AFL have for the second tier comps by changing the fixtures. I don't think any other of the 8 coaches would do anything different if it were their clubs.
