The average joe would have his failed drug test result splashed across every paper in the country.

The players dont now. Not even the people who pay their wage know they have failed a test. How good is that.

Players make money from being in the public eye. If it wasn't for the public, they would be an average joe.

I dont know if this has been pointed out before, but doesnt it seem weird that when clubs are being accused of having a drug problem, they are also at the top of their game.

West Coast played in two Grand Finals, winning one during their drug problems, and now Collingwood are being accused of having drug problems for the last few years.

Maybe Meth is a performance enhancer?

Not sure there is a problem, just that the frequency of general drug use among AFL players is reflective of the wider population of males aged 20-29 (ie. 30.5% of males aged 20-29 have used illicit drugs in the previous twelve months).

The wider population aren't elite athletes earning 100Ks a year though, with millions invested in a small group, with 100Ks of people supporting them.
