Rumoured to be getting $250k/year from VISY.
This will tighten up their spending a bit, they wont have the cap room to move they had budgeted for

I was under the impression the AFL ok'd the deal when it was first arranged, now they have changed their 3rd party conditions, I think this is the last year of the deal. Bit harsh if afl ok it then move the goal posts after the fact. Oh well should save money clearing out thornton, bower and russell anyway.

So his existing deal has run it's course, and the afl have said no more new deals of that type. Fair enough too, easy to cheat the system and would be a nightmare to police.

I don't think it has run it's course as yet but the AFL have made the rest of it redundant.

Chris Judd has announced that he will not be captain in 2013.

It'll be out of Carrazzo, Simpson or Murphy.

I think it will be Murphy but would not be disappointed if it was Simpson, an underrated player imo.

A bit like Bernie Vince but Simpson kicks goals.

I'm not the one flogging my chop calling for Bernie to be captain.

As for the video, even seagulls get hit by cars from time to time.

He is an outside player but to say he is a seagull is harsh. Not everyone can be an inside player, you need finishers. On the run from 50 he would be up there in the most reliable to goal category.

Durable as hell too.

Not many captains are outside players though.

No arguments on the durability front. Good player but wouldn't be captain over Murphy.

Didn't this bloke, so reliable by foot, put one out on the full once in the dying seconds that cost you a game?

Stephen Kernahan, considered by many to be a great CHF, cost carlton a game with an out on the full kick too.

Even the best make mistakes. Moot argument i would have thought.
