Knicks saw off the Mavs 104-94 to go 4-0, strange fixturing sees us play only twice in 8 days

Only just into his second year of a 4 year contract worth $18m.
Seems a knee jerk reaction by the club, it was only announced hours before the side are due to take on the Warriors.

MDA is currently favourite to take over.

Their defence has been abysmal so far yet a guy who doesn't believe in defence is favourite. Phil Jackson is second favourite.

Chants of 'Phil' 'Phil' 'Phil' in LA today.

I think it's a terrible decision. Almost feels like they're writing off the year to be honest and hoping to show enough promise to keep Dwight. But what will Nash and Kobe be like in another year? The only thing that will make me change my mind is if Phil Jackson gets talked into doing the job.

Missed a game due to illness, have to wonder whether he's 100%. James and Bosh had good games, but nobody else really did much. Grizzlies seem to not get much air time but they've been a handy team for a while now. Probably just lacking a superstar to get the headlines and into the latter playoff stages.

The Lakers have signed Mike D'Antoni on a 4 year deal. That should improve their woeful defence.

Phil Jackson was "asking for the moon" which is why he wasn't hired.

It had been widely anticipated that the Lakers would be bringing back Jackson after deciding to oust Brown just five games into the regular season, but sources said that the Lakers ultimately couldn't stomach Jackson's contract demands to return, which were believed to include a salary ranging from $10 to 15 million annually, significant say in personnel decisions as well as his eventual replacement along with the ability for the 67-year-old to skip selected road games.

Sounds like the conditions weren't so bad. Wanted to skip the odd road game but no way would he miss many. A bloke like Phil Jackson comes back wanting to win. Clearly money isn't the motivator or he'd have gotten another job somewhere. The other point about being able to have a say on personnel and his eventual replacement are there any better people in basketball to have involved in those decisions? This really smacks of an owner who wants to make the decisions to win, but only so long as those decisions are his.

The thought the triangle offense won't work for Dwight Howard amazed me. It seemed to work well enough for Shaq, why would Dwight be so different? Whether it works well for Steven Nash is a moot point. He's there to win, with only a very short time left to do it. I bet he'd be tickled pink if he became nothing more than a bloke to bring the ball up, shoot 3 pointers and defend if they won a championship doing it.

The official NBA app is always crashing or showing wrong results.
Was checking a Knicks score the other day and it said final score but it was like 55-50 or something, went back on 2 minutes later and the proper score was up.
Today it had Houston 100-93 as final score :?
