All these "Adelaide" people outraged that Tippett has left.
Were they so upset when Thompson, Jacobs and a raft of other SA players wanted to come home? FFS, move on....
Don't really see the connection. Jacobs came back due to not getting a game at Carlton. Maric went to Richmond due to lack of opportunity at Adelaide, Knights is going to Richmond due to lack of opprotunity, Mattner went to Sydney for a better contract that Ad weren't prepared to offer. Adelaide were prepared to deal with other clubs for these trades in the best interests of all parties, ask any Adelaide supporter if they have a problem with Knights or Maric going back to Vic and 90% will probably tell you that they don't. The issues that irritate supporters are when a player leads the club up the garden path, lie and double deal. If Tippett seriously wanted to go back to GC then most supporters would begrudgingly accept it, that he's now considering a deal with Sydney (if true) would obviously piss most people off......no one likes being taken for an idiot or lied to.

Why would anyone crticise an interstater for not wanting to live in Adelaide? If I wasn't born and bred here it would be the last place in the nation Id want to come and live at, I wouldnt even want to visit the place!

Totally agree, i can handle him going to Qld i think 95% of Crows supporters have come to terms with it but yeah if hes wearing a navy blue or red and white jumper next year i hope he breaks his leg and knocks himself out in the process

Fair enough he said he was going home to Queensland. But people change their minds. When he first said that he probably had every intention of going home. Once other clubs got word he wasnt contracted next year, they would have got in touch with his manager, and now hes one of the most wanted players. Of course he's going to look at other offers.
He isnt contracted to the Crows anymore, which means hes free to do whatever he wants. If the Crows didnt want him to leave after 2 years, they shouldnt made him sign a longer contract 2 years ago. If they were happy to get him to sign for 2 years, then consider his future elsewhere, they cant really complain now. They had to make him the highest paid Crow in history just to keep him in Adelaide in 2009. Obviously he wasnt that keen on living here if thats what it took.
why are adelaide supports so disappointed he is going? the guy is a spud, I would be happy to see him go

I tend to agree. Although I wouldnt say he is an out n out spud. He tries hard & has great size & reach but seems to struggle with basic skills & decision making. Not sure why there is all the angst. He was always going to piss off to somewhere. The signs were there a long time ago. Crows just need to get a decent trade/deal for him. If that is at Sydney so be it. And Adelaide supporters may now get the chance to see Jenkins & McKernan flourish.

They should be happy. They're more likely to get a ready made player for him from Sydney or a Melbourne based team. If he goes to the GC they'll get a young guy that may or may not develop into a good player. They spend 6 years building Tippett into the player he is today, and if they get another young guy or two, they're back at square one. 6 years of development down the drain.
