GWS cant pick him up because they got Davis as a out of contract player last year.

Doesn't the same apply for GC then with Bock ?

no, gws have a 2 year window to sign the uncontracted players, gcs only had 1 so the gc uncontracted period has expired

GWS have been existence for 2 years already, so wouldn't the 2 year concession period have expired?

GWS have only been in the AFL for 1 season. all of the concessions made available to both teams were for two drafts. So, now that means GCS can have a go at any out of contract player from any club.

They played in the NSW league in 2011, and had put together a squad before then, so they've been involved in 2 drafts already I reckon.

But as I understand it they can only get one from each club so uncontracted players from Freo, Western Bulldogs, Adelaide, Port and whoever else they got uncontracted players from last year can't be raided again.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Patrick Keane from the AFL has stated that deal has expired, they can now draft from any club

Mentioned on the Westies forum that Cam Wood may have been delisted yesterday, is he a chance to get picked uo, maybe by Port?

I would think Wood would be a very good chance to get picked up - if still available - by an SA club with a late (or rookie) pick.

Why would you want him?

No good at Brisbane and then no good at Collingwood.

GC has stated that Day and Gorrinage will not be apart of any deal for Tippett. Interesting to see what they can come up with.

And Wood will be traded to maccas for a burger and fries.

With ( in my order of preference ) Redden, Lobbe and Renouf on our list I think we have enough ruckmen. One of the few spots on our list that I think we show some promise in.

We dont want/need Wood IMO.

Trouble with Renouf is he is barely on the park. Redden does remind me alot of Sam Jacobs the year before he left Carlton, could be a real positive.
