They appear no more to be making up BS clauses about CPI oran allowance to keep players at the club who may want to return home interstate. They're just saying they'll just make it up as they go along, and do what they want.

Boo hoo. Tell it to the Fitzroy fans Port man.

Personally dont have an issue with it.
Very hard for a non football state to attract players

Fitzroy is irrelevant to the argument.

Port would have entered the AFL in 97 regardless of whether Fitzroy was there or not.

But Fitzroy may have got a leg up if Port weren't in the wings.

Wouldnt it be just as hard for SA & WA clubs to lure players away from VIC due to the extra media/job oppurtunities Melbourne offers in life after football.

Also correct me if im wrong the only players clubs have to 'lure' is from trade week, as drafted players have to go to the clubs they are drafted by. So essentially there getting extra salary cap room for the 1-3 players they trade for each season.

If they don't lose a couple of players after the Cloke deal, you know it's dodgy

Any particular reason that muppet Gieschen thinks the GF should be umpired differently than every other game during the year?

How about applying the same "let them play" rules to every other game?

Nah Jimmy, that's TOO sensible.
AFL would never go for that.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

A champion team will always beat a team of champions.

I said it all week, that sydney could break them down and get the job done when needed.

IMO Goodes showed why is in the champion/legend status. On one leg, stood fwd and demanded the footy - in that last qtr when the game was to be won he ran his guts out.....
