Newcastle gold cup day
i think this race has provided us some joy in the past.
The toppy for gai has a good chance with Nash on board, good barrier and an on-pace runner.
Looking for value I like the 7 saint encosta - last 2 starts has been beaten under 3 lengths and 4th both times. Has a good drop in weight. $16 fixed odds. May drift out to 20s.
One horse who does have a great hope of knocking off the fav is the 6 Kelnini. Very consistent form.

Im with you here Dragon! If Manighar gets out before the 200m last start, wins by a length or more!
I'll being jumping on this today at $3.10 and trying to find something else I like to multi it up with....Maybe Commanding Jewel at $2.80??
Just wondering why southern speed can't win?? Same weights? Both drawn wide.
How many horses 'shouldve' won in the past if they had of got out earlier.
No doubting manighar is a great horse but think is hard to disregard who beat it in same conditions.
If manighar gets stuck for a run again will it still be cox plate favorite??
And if it is unlucky in cox plate will everyone who backed it still be praising him.....
Just saying
