Race 6 at Doomben tomorrow is featuring former Rick Hore Lacy horse - that was raced under a different name - Jabiru Dreaming. Has 23 career starts for 9 wins but those 9 wins have come in it's last 9 starts and while most of those have been midweek country Queensland meets, it did beat Achievements last start in an $80,000 dollar race in Townsville in a field of 16, from the carpark draw in a pretty slick time.
Like Rococco in the Morphetville Guineas.

That last ran when Crows played Geelong at Cat Park. I was in the TTG pub at the time. Fair spell!

So much for yours truly but what about Achenar at Morphetville? Remember looking at that race thinking that it's the only horse in the field that's got no chance whatsoever and bugger me dead it wins paying $131 bucks for the win. Would have to be biggest at a decent Morphetville meet since Cybercyn paid about $170 on Adelaide cup day last year?
Stella Lante almost won at Moonee Valley but the horse that beat it called Love For Ransom was absolutely flying at the end.

I can guarantee one thing - Sysmo will not be getting too far back today otherwise Matty Neilson will have a rocket up him!
McEvoy wouldnt put him in the race if he didnt think he could win it, looking for to boost the rating to jag a spot in one of the big races...

was getting on the punt, but todays weather, i dont think i can resist the temptation of the golf course!!!

Newcastle gold cup day

i think this race has provided us some joy in the past.

The toppy for gai has a good chance with Nash on board, good barrier and an on-pace runner.
Looking for value I like the 7 saint encosta - last 2 starts has been beaten under 3 lengths and 4th both times. Has a good drop in weight. $16 fixed odds. May drift out to 20s.

One horse who does have a great hope of knocking off the fav is the 6 Kelnini. Very consistent form.
