Thought the performance of Moudre first up since the March 2011 Australia Cup was pretty good in coming 3rd to Southern Speed and Manighar in the Makybe Diva stakes as yours truly certainly wasn't expecting it to turn it on yesterday as it's one of those horses that is better over really long distances.
Is apparently still qualified for the Melbourne Cup due to it's 2010 Queen's cup win and I'm assuming that Glen Boss will be riding it for the rest of the spring and I'm telling you, don't sleep on this thing as IMHO it's one of our better chances for a home victory along with Southern Speed and Maluckyday and will be one of the few horses in the race that will be capable of running a sub 36 second last 600m over the 3200m distance.

Ex Lloyd Williams horse who has performed poorly since coming to Oz in 2011. It actually ran in the 2009 Arc De Triomphe albeit running 18th of 19 runners. Most of the prizemoney came from his 3rd in a Grp 1 race at York in Aug 2009. Hope that helps.
