That's one sorry looking leaderboard.

Congrats to Kane on what must be the sweetest B&F win of the four...

Port must look at the way they allocate votes if Cornes won their B&F

GAJ wins his second GCFC Club Champion award (which no doubt will eventually be named after Ablett himself) with 215 votes, ahead of Harley Bennell (163) and Danny Stanley (84).

Not B&F's, but...

Gary Ablett named MVP of the AFL Players Association.

Jobe Watson was runner up and Best Captain.

Joel Selwood and Beau Waters tied for the most courageous player.

Jeremy Cameron awarded best first year player.

AFLPA MVP Award voting:
1. Gary Ablett 788
2. Jobe Watson 602
3. Trent Cotchin 495
4. Dayne Beams 377
5. Patrick Dangerfield 256
5. Josh P. Kennedy 256
7. Matthew Pavlich 222
8. Tom Hawkins 134
9. Scott Thompson 118
10. Drew Petrie 107

There was a minute silence prior to the event opening, in respect of John McCarthy.

Well deserved. I thought his impact as a player would subside without the player protection he had at the cats, but he continues to rack up the numbers and shows exceptional leadership in a growing team.

I thought Cotchin would have polled a few more votes than he did. He will win this award in the future I have no doubt.....fast becoming one of the elite midfielders in the comp if he is not there already.

5 Awards for Hayes! Not a bad night at the b&f count......

He would have ran out of speeches by the time the TB medal was presented!

He was absent, still in hospital recovering from heart surgery I believe.
Fair effort by him to play the whole season with a heart problem and still dominate

Much respect to Lenny Hayes, not the most heralded player, but courageous to a fault!

He lost points for being a ****.

As for the Blues, reckon Betts is a massive chance.
