Amateur League Looking at taking over Junior Football

SAAFL have made an amendment to charges for junior teams and reduced it

All teams will now be $200 regardless of what age groups

well perhaps put out a decent document instead of the last one that was put out. If you want clubs Juniors to come on board you need to put out a full document explaining the whole concept.

How is it going to be run at club level for a start, are we going to see a proposed budget, tribunals, how will they be run, what happens if a club joins and all of a sudden they have a few sides that cant get a game because other clubs that have signed up dont have those sides. Umpires, sorry but the list goes on. Don't nget me wrong, put out a full decent document which can be looked over by clubs legal reps etc and you may get more interest.

Until something more substantial is put out on the table you may struggle to get much interest or perhaps, just perhaps this is why a document with so very little information was released

I agree. By the sounds of it they have no idea how big a mess it currently is if they have to fix all those problems for you.

I agree. By the sounds of it they have no idea how big a mess it currently is if they have to fix all those problems for you.

It's not a mess, they are just issues we as a club want to know how they are going to address, as in any comp there are always some issues that clubs are not happy with, any club contemplating a move would be silly to stand up and jump ship and move after the document we were handed and now all of a sudden they drop fees down as well. Like to know the reason for that

NEMJFA Delegates meeting last night.

26 clubs were asked to sign an agreement to play in the existing comp.
23 agreed & signed on.
1 agreed with the right to withdraw (didn't hear the exact reason)
1 signed on after the delegates singularly agreed.
1 could not commit until a meeting with their seniors.
So, basically 25/26 committed for next season.

Was reported that all bar one club committed to the MWJFL for 2013.

Thats a great vote of confidence for NEMJFA and the other junior leagues, gee Brahma Lodge are going to be lonely.

Heard David Hutton was also there and gave the full support of the SANFL behind the current junior leagues.

The full support takes the form of a long winded power point presentation which eventually gets to the point that some of the time spent by the development officers from SANFL clubs will now be spent at clubs rather than schools.

Quite simply they will not be moving anywhere and have committed fully to the NEMJFA in 2013

Im not saying this is whats happened but seems strange that the community football board have been trying to get nemjfa clubs to accept the new play by the rules system but are getting strong resistance from the junior clubs.Then out of the blue this pops up at a saafl delegates meeting at which a prominent executive member also just happens to be a member of the Community Football board?

Yes the NEMJFA is affiliated and has been for a long time now with the SANFL but understand the clubs affiliated with the NEMJFA decide the policy of the NEMJFA
and no one else"
