I don't care how and by how much, just as long as the Eagles have a win on Saturday.

I would think Lomas and Hier will come into the league side - possibly Batsanis. They can't keep playing the same team which has been thrashed two weeks in a row so there will surely be some changes.

Westies are a bit of an unknown. They do have the talent to cause an upset.

A critical game for both clubs in my opinion. 8th v 9th - bottom of the table clash - unusual territory for the Eagles (personal thoughts)

Fans of both clubs need to get to Richmond/Broadspectrum this week.
Usually this game is around 2200 spectators - Both clubs need as many fans as possible to get to the footy. Can we get 3000+?

Its going to be an interesting game.

I'll be there with the tackers.

Some how I think we are going to need to play out of our skins to get the points, but we are certainly not in no chance land.

Good to finally see some improvement

how about giving a bloke like Jon Flo a game at least he will be on the bottom of packs and giving his all. Been playing very well in the B grade. Surely is is worth one last shot.

Our lot would want to MAKE CHANGES to the side & SHOW FAR MORE G&D for me to be happy.

To lose to those 2 teams in 2 weeks has been almost unbearable !!!

C'mon Eagles, SORT IT OUT !!!

P.S. In keeping with the headlines in The Advertiser:

Possible first speach in Parliment Question Time;

Speaker of the House: "The Right Honourable Member for Boothby"

N. Cornes: "Thank you Mr. Speaker, my question without notice is to the Prime Minister.
Is the Prime Minister aware that his shoes don't go with those trousers?"

Any alternatives???

If Nicole is the member for Boothby, then Rudd would be the PM and would be happy to answer any question. :)

More importantly, go the Bloods!

I could not work out how the side was not changed after the loss to port ! And to name two new players on the bench and then have them play AGAIN in the two's doesnt make sense to me .And surely someone on the panel can see we are winning the ruck taps and not getting the ball out of the centre!
On a better note we kicked alot straighter last week  .

Will Mcgregor get called up for the crows as predicted by KG this morning ?
Nice to see some players get promoted.

The new recruits have been dropped and McGregor named at Full Back. Good to see Symmons and Lomas named in the squad - not only are they goal kickers, but they can play in the midfield as well which helps out Cica, Powell, Cooper and co. Redden to get another chance at league level on the half back flank and Batsanis hopefully will debut. Rugolo is skating on thin ice and will need a big performance this week.

I still think Salter and Stewart may be at wrong ends of the ground. I'd also consider putting Stewart on the wing and for periods working Treeby out from the full forward line.

Very disappointing result. Our endeavour was there, but the skill and structure was terrible and in the end the difference was that West Adelaide were more structured and delivered to their forward line much better than we did.

Westies had numbers behind the ball all day and ran out of defence in numbers and then delivered to Cupido perfectly - especially in the first quarter when they got out to a 4 goal to nothing lead. Eagles finally kicked a goal at the 12 minute mark of the 2nd quarter and from there until the beginning of time on in the 3rd, really dominated play. When we were 20 points up I thought finally we had clicked and we would hopefully run the game out and live happily ever after.... to Westies credit, they fought it out for the 2nd game in a row and were deserving winners.

For the Eagles, I thought best players were Jarrad, McGregor, Fairclough (it was his best game for the Eagles), McKenzie and Fiacchi. Cicolella looked to have a hip problem and finished the game on the bench, so hopefully he is not out for too long. Fitzgerald is impressive with the way he can get the ball, but his skills and decision making are not up to league standard.

I got there early to watch most of the ressies today and there is some exceptional talent coming through. Along with known talent in Hicks, Petrenko and Batsanis, keep an eye out for Broadbent and Davoren. Broadbent in particular looks like he will be a star. Also impressive was Arbon at CHF. He's only skinny, but Grieger is a pretty good league player and Arbon won that battle easily. Unfortunately Schwarze went off injured in the first quarter. Eagles ended up winning by 38 points with Robbie Fiacchi my pick as b.o.g.

Westies smashed by the umpires again today, 23 to 13.

Great fightback by the boys.

Robert Gray is a gun.

Two well worn expressions in footy: 1 1/2 quarters won't win a match and poor kicking = poor footy.

That 1 1/2 quarters looked like last years side, the rest was from the last two weeks.

Can anyone confirm that Davoren in the Eagles reserves is the son of former West player Mark Davoren?

OK, so the Mark Davoren I worked with has either changed his name, or is full of crap?
