The more I've come to understand the AFL's drug program makes me believe that it is an absolute carbon copy of the NBA's drug program - If you've ever read the excellent book on the NBA called "Money Players" by Armen Keteyian you'll know what I mean.
Hopefully we'll never have a situation in the AFL like the NBA had with the late Reggie Lewis where the interests of others came before the welfare of Lewis himself and the opposition of others to getting him to come forward to accept a strike almost certainly was what caused his untimely death in 1993 at the age of 27.

If they said two weeks ago "Franklin is ready to go, but with games against Port and GWS to come we wont be risking him" nobody would have cared. Least of all Port and GWS fans.

But with the ridiculous veiled coverage of Franklin being the three strikes guy, surely you put him at full forward, tell the guys to kick the ball over his head, and get him out there, just to shut them the hell up.

You don't play him if he's not 100%, regardless of what rumors are getting around the net.

A bit off topic but I reckon they should have a drug olympics, imagine seeing dude's throwing the javelin into the next suburb or clocking a 6 second 100m.

I heard Sharrod Wellingham was late for his Collingwood pre-match meeting because Buddy so was so unwell when he went to leave.
