Dont agree, lost 3 games by under a kick. Yes it was a bad loss on the weekend, the Saints looked switched on from the start and were just too good on the day. We have seen some massive improvement from players this season and the game plan is far better, all the players are more defensive minded and we dont get scored upon as heavily as the past.
Still havnt got the depth of other sides so need close to our best side on the park to match it with the best. Still hoping we can get through this next patch with a few wins and play finals.

Still think the same Jim?
At least under Knights when you gave up 10 goals a quarter you would still kick 6 or 7 yourself ;)

Hopefully the guys can show a bit of fight and get up for this one.
3 games remaining against our 3 biggest rivals so if players cant show some spirit in these 3 games then hopefully they will be moved on

Realistically you cant move 22 players on can you Jim?

Would love to.
Unfortunately poor drafting and decision making by the club has put us in this mess

But Knights had a full squad to choose from most weeks.
Injuries have killed us this season as they did in the later part of last season.
We just dont have the depth that the better sides do

Thought you guys would win by 50-60 not 100 ffs.
We are in a no win situation, we have too many crap players so we brought back players today who havnt played for months and it backfired.
Poor skills, too many turnovers, lack of depth plus a severe lack of confidence at the moment.
I said weeks ago that we wouldnt win another game for the season

Hey Jim, I respect your opinion so I have a legit question for you

Do Hibberd and Melksham fit into your best 22? To me, they look like they're about 28-33 type players at the moment. I'm fully aware of guys falling out of form (we've had enough of them for me to comment!) and I haven't seen Essendon enough this season to comment on them, but they looked really out of touch on the weekend.

Browne looks pretty good for you guys, a real goer but needs the support of your senior guys to step up. Heppell looks like he'll be very good, but to be honest, I don't think he knows how to influence a game when you're getting done. That will come with time though.

Cheers

ESSENDON have had something like 22 soft-tissue injuries, not wanting to make excuses, but it's not like they've been missing one or two key players, it's an epidemic.
You can probably blame coaching or fitness staff, but the biggest issue has been lack of cattle.

Hibberd and Melksham are both battlers who like most of our players have apalling foot skills, dont think either would be in our top 22. Melksham has played every game this season and must be Simon Goodwin's love child as he continually talks him up.

You should know that you cant play unfit players.
Ryder has been out for 6 weeks and Zaharakis 12 weeks, both were brought straight back in when they should have a game in the two's
We are rabble at the moment, skills and effort is disgraceful.
Paying the price for poor recruitment and list management.
When Hird and Bomber arrived at the club they were staggered to see how far the club had fallen in many areas and admitted Essendon was a long way behind most clubs
I commend the 40,000 who rock up each week to see that crap served up

It'll be all good when James Hird gets a new hairstyle. His circa 1992 one had had its day a decade ago
