I know people will argue "yeah ok skills might be down but there's no excuse for not chasing and tackling like you mean it" which is true, but Port don't have any depth whatsoever, so it means players keep getting a gig without any fear of being dropped, because not many are knocking on the door with form under their belt.
Most Port people I know want an experienced coach next time around, but with their lack of $$ and appeal at the moment I don't think too many would line up for it .. Perhaps Harvey or Eade could be the ones to sound out.
Eade would be silly to leave Collingwood. He gets paid more now than he did as the head coach at the Bulldogs, and has less responsibilities. At Port he'd get paid less, have to somehow get a crap team up and about, as well as have the Advertiser and 5AA on his arse every day....a lot of stress for no reward in my opinion.
The jobs not very attractive at the moment. Maybe give Tom Harley a call...he's a spud, so he'd fit in nicely at his old club.

Yeah I figured Eade would be a stretch, but they have to find out I guess .. I know he's not proven either but I wonder if someone like Adam Simpson would be on their radar?
