I know people will argue "yeah ok skills might be down but there's no excuse for not chasing and tackling like you mean it" which is true, but Port don't have any depth whatsoever, so it means players keep getting a gig without any fear of being dropped, because not many are knocking on the door with form under their belt.

Most Port people I know want an experienced coach next time around, but with their lack of $$ and appeal at the moment I don't think too many would line up for it .. Perhaps Harvey or Eade could be the ones to sound out.

Eade would be silly to leave Collingwood. He gets paid more now than he did as the head coach at the Bulldogs, and has less responsibilities. At Port he'd get paid less, have to somehow get a crap team up and about, as well as have the Advertiser and 5AA on his arse every day....a lot of stress for no reward in my opinion.

The jobs not very attractive at the moment. Maybe give Tom Harley a call...he's a spud, so he'd fit in nicely at his old club.

Yeah I figured Eade would be a stretch, but they have to find out I guess .. I know he's not proven either but I wonder if someone like Adam Simpson would be on their radar?

Simpsons one of my all time favourite players, and no offence to Port, but Id hate for him to be remembered for coaching them. Not because of the fact they're Port Adelaide, just that I dont see anything improving in the next couple of years, and whoever takes up the coaching role next is likely to be sacked after 2 years.

There is no doubting these blokes passion for the club and their interest in seeing the club succeed. They havent been able to get it done for a number of reasons and have to move on and see what the next regime can do. No point throwing stones now only focusing on what is needing to happen.

Even and a crows man who has a small smile seeing port flounder, you never want to see an individual in football so down and almost in tears as primus was on saturday....

After Buddha's shenanigans at Peel Thunder, I'm surprised at this. Thought Rehn was a better choice.

I loved the fella as a player, I felt for him when he got the role after Williams decimated the squad as I knew he'd be doing it tough but they style that Port play is inferior to any other club's game plan.
They don't have the players to implicate what they try to do, he needed to simplify the game plan and just try holding their own.

The best thing Port has ever done is employ KT ... hard nose business bastard without emotion.

Cannot deny the passion of the people that run the club, but they need new blood who can respect the history but not be burdened by it.

I agree but Buddah would be better considered because he coached a team which was just as good and the same colours as the crap he is stuck with now.
