Not sure about feeling sad for Primus, he simply couldnt coach. Doesnt matter what players/skills you have at your disposal its your job as coach to get the best out of them. No excuse if you cant get every player crossing the white line giving 100%, and this clearly wasnt the case. Sure that 100% might not get you the win, but your fans will at least see they are giving it all for the jumper.

Andrew Jarman doesn't have a coaching gig yet does he?

He's too busy drinking his own bath water to take on a coaching job. Super player but a tool

I think they need a huge clean out in staff but they have no money so that is impossible, need to look outside their own.

Bassett said on the radio today that he has zero interest in being a senior coach at AFL level next year, only an assistant coach

Theres been 2 massive errors by Port.
Extending William's contract and then sacking him.
Appointing primus in the first place.

That a spud like Trengrove gets paid about forty times what Brett Zorzi does to play football is an indictment on modern footy, he couldn't lace Zorba's boots to save his life.

Big appointment for Port coming up, luckily for them they have KT at the helm.

They're a rabble and Travis Boak wants to re-sign with this mob?

Pretty sad when you think of it this way .

Easily some SANFL footy players that deserve more coin then most of the overated spuds in port.

He can now play the "I had loyalty to the coach and now he's gone and I am not happy with how it went down I am walking out in disgust" card.

Fairly accurate I think.
No chasing, no tackling, pathetic disposal, which suggests a change of coach won't change much.
What is needed is a cultural clean out.

Primus has to take a fairly hefty share of the blame, but many others do also and the biggest clear cut problem is simply their list.

I know people will argue "yeah ok skills might be down but there's no excuse for not chasing and tackling like you mean it" which is true, but Port don't have any depth whatsoever, so it means players keep getting a gig without any fear of being dropped, because not many are knocking on the door with form under their belt.

Most Port people I know want an experienced coach next time around, but with their lack of $$ and appeal at the moment I don't think too many would line up for it .. Perhaps Harvey or Eade could be the ones to sound out.

Eade would be silly to leave Collingwood. He gets paid more now than he did as the head coach at the Bulldogs, and has less responsibilities. At Port he'd get paid less, have to somehow get a crap team up and about, as well as have the Advertiser and 5AA on his arse every day....a lot of stress for no reward in my opinion.

The jobs not very attractive at the moment. Maybe give Tom Harley a call...he's a spud, so he'd fit in nicely at his old club.
