Would say crisp , but also true! Wish I could find that button
Dudley "Booger" Dawson: Did you get in her pants?
Gilbert Lowe: She's not that kind of a girl, Booger.
Dudley "Booger" Dawson: Why, does she have a penis?

The AFL have 20+ camera's at any given game with profesionals who operate them. The match reveiw panel can then use this expert skill to police the game. I dont think they rely on some guy on a hill with a $ 200 camera he won on ebay.

The AFL match panel at least has some type of scrutiny in the media. The secret squirrel approach here means no one will ever be satisfied. The video should be posted online.

Geez, a bit of whining on here. NM, Buzz and (the appropriately named) Numb Nuts, from what I've heard it was a sickening incident and by all accounts it was very lucky the player wasn't (very) seriously injured. How would you blokes have felt if it was your son, brother or team mate that was knocked out in an incident earning a long suspension? Stop defending thuggery, we know the Amateur League has clearly stipulated it wont stand for it. The recent events in Kings Cross are are an unfortunate reminder of what unprovoked violent acts can do and surely it's enough to make you blokes wake up?

Hmmmm, where do I start....
1. Both cowardly gutless assaults
2. Both potentially (and realized ) deadly blows to the head
3. Both hits were on unsuspecting victims in no position to defend.

Do you want me to go on?

Blacks, is it true in the video footage it clearly shows one of the umpires staring straight at the incident, its amazing how so many people are experts on what happened with out seeing the event yet an umpire that was no more than 40m away and looking directly at the incident has no idea. as we know with technology now, different camera angles are required to see the exact time and point of impact. my argument is camera was one side of the incident umpire was on the other, one says 7 weeks the other says play on

It amazes me that people try to get away from the real issue that 1. he did it and 2. Regardless of any paranoia of being picked on or sinister suggestion Tony Roach influenced the decision (which, by the way, was not my intent with my previous post re: this issue), it is well documented that the SAAFL are not tolerating head high stuff anymore particularly when a bloke doesn’t see it coming.

Who in their right mind knowing that the SAAFL are a very sensitive to this type of thing at the moment is going to go around elbowing bloke in the head.

Despite what you all think, with the stance that the league are taking at the minute, I reckon if the shoe had been on the other foot, I'm sure Lachy would have been given the same holiday.

To be honest, even I found the amount of weeks surprising for a first timer...I'm assuming Portland will be appealing?

how could they appeal when theres clear evidence against him? everyone need to forget about the previous incident where uni's sent in evidence of a sling tackle and focus on whats happend here, a portland player deliberately elbowed a uni player in the head, theres no place for it in the game

I think we need to shift focus to why if the video showed an umpire having clear vision to the incident yet the umpire did nothing about it? :?
