stan do you think cloke is worth the money he wants??? listening to grant thomas on footy classified he said cloke is way overatted and should only be worth half of what he is asking i must say i tend to agree but a little more than half of what he wants....

I think he wants 900K doesnt he? I'm not sure he is worth that but in saying that he is a very good player and very important to Collingwood especially with Dawes' form of late. But still hes not worth 900K. Just my opinion. I think he has done well to get a 700K deal especially if it turns out to be for 5 years. Really I think he should be around the 500 - 600K mark.

Also I think collingwood have done well to keep all there key players and remain under the cap. But still someone will be squeezed out I'm just wondering if it will be another John McCarthy type case. Whilst he is not an elite midfielder has been handy at Port. So I'm interest to see who gets the squeeze as they have a number of good young players coming through.

yeah i must say with all the injuries the pies have they have some very good kids coming through thats for sure....im sure they will find a way of keeping all their stars as over the years i cant recall the pies letting good quality players go....as to travis i hope he does the right thing by the club and doesnt just chase the $$$$$...

He hasn't done himself any justice this year after being no.1 in contested marks last year, maybe its all got to his head & its affected his form by a long way, he doesn't look half the player he was.
I'd give him $500-$600 max a year, if he doesn't like it pi$$ off & take Dawes with him!

Who are their Key FWDs then NM..... I agree totally that he has done himself no favours but can Collingwood afford to not have him?

He'll be a better player once all these negotiations are done, it's putting too much pressure on him and he can't handle it, trying to eek out as many $'s as possible is having a negative affect on him.

Travis dad is the problem,he has been the same with all three sons, this time though giving journalists stories to publish which some are absolute garbage. All he is trying to do is get his son the best possible deal but i believe he is very controlling and is three boys have always fallen into line and what he says goes, never believed that he is never going to leave Collingwood.

Unfortunately these players can't help themselves by bringing unneeded attention & distraction to their club.
And yes the media are gonna have a field day with this, it will cost the club its chance to win the flag.

As for Cloke Buckley has balls dropping Swan but what about dropping this out of form liability of a bloke.

Collingwood are considering playing Swan in the VFL this weekend to keep up his match fitness. :?
So what exactly was the point of suspending him?
