1. Not perfect conditions for footy

2. No mention of Freo playing three loose players behind the footy

I think we should make judgements based on the actual game and not scoreboard perceptions

OF COURSE, I would love the crows to have applied a bit more scoreboard pressure, but in saying that the game is being played out as a really tight contest, in tough conditions against quality opposition

Conditions are heavy and windy, have not seen too many clean possesions or too many clean passages of play, the opposition are also playing with numbers behind the ball trying close down Adelaide's run

I am enjoying the contest

Obviously, some people love to see every game like the Carlton v Lions game, 20 goals to 17, but once again that one way run style of footy does not win big games

That wasn't why we lost. We had enough chances to win the game but our forwards did not make the most of our inside 50s. That's nothing to do with nos behind the ball which, arguably, was the main reason we tied the scores with 2 minutes to play. Freo actually were playing a very similar style to the Crows.

2 minutes to go scores locked together
FR 7-15
AC 8-9

And guess what there were about 15 Adelaide players in defence
FR tried to attack AC were waiting for a turnover
On that, the right side ends up winning

If it was a draw the judges would have given it to FR on points

Kids let us down

Knights had close to 30 touches and was Adelaide's best, Van Berlo had close to 25 touches and would of been in out top 3 or 4, in addition I thought Griffen was fantastic when he went in to the ruck, Douglas is doing as fantastic apprentiship down back and also had close to 20 touches

Yes I agree Vince should of kicked the goal but he will learn from the experience, he has good skills and will only get better

These are the type of games you need these kids to play in, they will all be better for the experience

In regards to Adelaide can't win the flag playing that type of footy, it was a tough game, in touch conditions, two quality sides.

I would say, sides that can't play that style of one on one contested footy can't win the flag, history supports that theory

knights played terrific. vb, douglas and vince may have had plenty of touches but struggled under the pressure. they were holding onto it for to long and than struggled when the pressure was put on to hit the target cleanly. but they are all still quality players and will only learn from the game

VB struggled under the pressure? What game were you watching? He had 12 contested possessions, the most of anyone on the ground.

i never said he didn't get the possessions, i didn't think he did to much with it once he got it be contested or uncontested.

I disagree, he did a terrific job of getting the hard ball and then feeding it out to Thompson/Edwards ect.

Joke SD...great footy conditions, really brings out the skill in the players...worst conditions last week in the WCE game and they scored double....

The Craigbots were all behind the ball with Sarge the lone hand up forward....one question for you -

How do you expect to win big games with you best 2 players playing in defence ALL game??????
