Its the way the Hawks are bringing it in, hard to defend when the guy kicking into the forward 50 is under no pressure.

Reckon there were 4 or 5 bombs into the Hawks 50 in a row and all were clunked by Roughead, Hale or Franklin. Kreuzer was nowhere near Hale on a couple of occasions[/quote/]

Having those three inside 50, especially all at the same time really hurt Carlton and their smallish Backline. But to the Hawks credit, they have been pretty smart and noticed that to just get the ball in there 50 and they will more than likely mark or dominate the contest.

Carlton are spudding down back.

Watson is a hack and Carlton are an embarrasment. Is Ratten actually going to make a move.

Thankyou. We really don't need "supporters" like you, so rack off.

I also noted you used "Carlton" rather than "we", so obviously when we start winning again (whenever that is) you will keep your distance like you have.

Furthermore, STAY RACKED OFF!

I am just telling the truth, if you don't think Carlton are a rabble at the moment then you are deluded.

What part of Carlton do you form?. "WE" implies you are apart of them which you are not so eat carp.

No problems, just stay away mate, we're better off without you.

Why?, because I want to see a change in something that is clearly not working?

Ratten is not the man for the job.

WE aren't playing well. But nothing you or I can do about it directly, so support our team and stop distancing yourself even though we're not playing well at the moment.

PS. Note that even though I agree WE are not playing well, I'm not 1. bagging them, 2. distancing myself from them.

There is no WE, if I was distancing myself I wouldn't be commenting would I?

We are playing absolutely carp. Don't try and sugar coat it.

Squids, you are the type of supporter known as "fickle". You bitch, moan and complain about how crap the club is and the coach is rubbish but come back preaching how good "we" are when we start winning. Rack off and stay racked off.

So you are happy with what the club is like at the moment? Do you think things are just going to turn around without any change?

No, I didn't say that, but don't bag your club. Like I said, you can't change things, so rather than bag YOUR club, comment constructively. I don't think we're playing well, I don't know if the coach is the right person but last year with a full squad he was. Whether his game plan has been found out, I don't know (cos I'm not in the inner sanctum). But I know we'll turn it around - hopefully sooner rather than later.

So no I'm not happy with the way we're going, but we've got reasons for that. Change?.........well what do you change......the coach? That'll fix things! Always does...... I think the club knows better than you or I. All we can do is support our club no matter what.

I'll never stop barracking and supporting my club. I'll comment about them and about their form and offer advice (that no-one other than the boffins on safooty will comment upon) but overall we have to be realistic about where we're at. Mediocre!

Season over, Carlton will not play finals. Need to probably win 6 or 7 of their last 9 and they are simply not good enough.

How much longer for Ratten? Injuries have effected the team but he was under pressure last year when they did make finals

Ahh, good Squids... "we"... I like it....

Reasons.....well for one, we have no forward structure. Oh to have a Buddy, Roughy and Hale running around our forward line. Unfortunately Kruezer isn't our answer at FF or CHF and the other problem is that a one man band up forward doesn't work for any side these days, you need alternatives and diversity. We don't have that because the entry into the forward line is ordinary because of pressure on our depleted midfield. Walker would normally be a good decoy but he and Betts aren't getting the delivery or room to move because of the delivery. Also, as I've said elsewhere, our depth is still a concern. Jammo gets injured and we're in trouble. Henderson is great for us, but needs to find a home, whether forward or back but we missed him tonight. Missing Laidler, Duigan, Murphy and Carrots has buggered our structure up. Not sure about Waite either as our FF in a mediocre side either.

Calling us crap is a bit harsh I'd reckon. We're still not too bad. We lost to Geel and WCE by 10 pts each. The past few years we've struggled against the Hawks anyway (strong forward line vs weak defence!!!) so I wasn't surprised we got beaten early.

The real disappoiing part for me is the lack of numbers around the contest tonight. We might half intercept a ball but there were all white guernseys around us... we seemed to be running around in 'ones and two's' rather than in packs where we were so good last year. That's confidence and backing the ability of your teammate to win the ball.

We're stuffed this year - look at our draw in comparison to other teams. So do you want me to give up forever?

Dunno Brod. Given that we were looking at top 4, he's under pressure for sure. Dunno if injuries will cover the difference between being say 10-4 and 6-8.

The real problem for me is that if we cut him, we have to go for a Malthouse type, whilst Judd is still with us. If we went for another untried coach - which Ratten was in essence, we could do ourselves out of a flag during the Judd era. It's a massive issue.

Ratten looked 'beaten' in the coaches box tonight. He looks tired.

Thanks Stan. We can always look at the spud farm over in West Coast circa 2010 for inspiration.
