Hahhahaha this is the NBA mate not your local amateur league footy club. All franchises try to buy players to top up there rosters. How many one club players are there in the nba ??? For the average basketball fan that doesn't closely follow the league you would have no idea what players are where they move around that much. As a long time heat fan I was expecting him to go to new York like everyone was but was pretty happy when he chose Miami. It's no different to shaq jumping from ship to ship. Or the talk of LA trying to lure Howard. Lebron basically set himself up to be ridiculed the way he left. But I have no doubt he woulda been a one club player at Cleveland had they built a quality side around him. He has all the money in the world but that means nothing when all he would want is a ring. And I hope he brings it home for us !!!

Spurs 2-0 up now, another cruisy win in this streak of 20. OKC really needed to win Game 1, now they have to win both home games to have any chance.

During that third quarter spurs played some of the best team basketball you could ever hope to see. OKC did well to stop the momentum by fouling Splitter at every opportunity. In the end tho Ginobili was good enough to close it out.

Problem for OKC was that they had their big 3 combine for almost 90 points yet still lost by 9.

Thats 20 wins in a row for the Spurs.

Miami take game 2 in overtime. Worst for Boston is Rondo was amazing, Wade and James down a little and they still lost with Bosh yet to step foot on court. If they couldn't win this one, what do they need to do?

Was home sick from work and watches the game.
Rondo was amazing as you said. His shooting has improved unbelievably

If Miami lost it they could of blamed their free throw shooting. Missing 15 or so to Boston's 5 misses or something similar.
Unfortunately I'll prob be back at work tomorro so I'll miss okc v apurs

I'm not sure how anyone thought Boston could've beaten Miami this year, the Celtics got flogged 4-1 last year and they're all a year older now. I still maintain with a healthy and early last season form Shaq they might've got over the line last year but even without Bosh (possibly) expected the Heat not to have too much trouble with them this year.

Miami also made more free throws than Boston took. LeBron and Wade weren't going great fro the field but managed to keep scoring by getting to the line. Chalmers was very good, Haslem was serviceable and the Celtics started having players foul out didn't help them either.

That was my feeling too, but any chance the Celtics had revolved around Bosh missing, the other 2 being a little down and Rondo tearing things up. All that happened today and they didn't even get the win in this game, let alone mount a challenge for the series.

Pretty big and blatant foul missed on Rondo during the crucial OT period .. Not that it would have necessarily made a difference, I think the Heat were always going to get across the line.

Didn't think the C's would be able to conquer Miami in the series, I guess if you can win a big, tight game like that away then you're a better chance, so it's tough to get so close, yet so far.

Allen will be in a wheelchair by game 4, and he might well have KG and/or PP on his lap

Spurs had very little going for them offensively, just couldn't get anyone to heat up at all. Very surprised at the margin too, it seemed like such an even matchup that I didn't see a blowout, but that's what happened. Could be just what OKC needed to spark them into making their case to progress.

A 20 win streak ended with a 20 point loss! Great result for OKC, the series is very much alive now.

Some sad news high-flying NBA journeyman Orlando Woolridge passed away today at just 52 due to a heart condition.

He was an offensive machine at one point leading the Bulls in scoring in Jordan's rookie year and was often on the receiving end of alleys from Magic in his Lakers days. He played 13 years in the NBA from 1981-94.
