that should be an option as to why people never went on the poll in the other thread

Re: State game SANFL v WAFL
Can anyone explain why it was played on the same day as the Adelaide/Collingwood game?

Re: State game SANFL v WAFL
My guess is it was the most convenient day from a travelling perspective to have it on Saturday.
That way WA comes over on Friday, returns Sunday.
Play it Friday Night and WA needs to come over Thursday (another day off work all the players need to find).
BTW - Next Year I think its NEAFL North (QLd / NT) v SA in Adelaide. Should be a big crowd for that one, then in 2014 its off to Victoria. Will try to confirm tomorrow.

Cheers Phil. I think we should probably be able to rack up a scoreline against Qld/NT!

Perfect game to take to a major regional centre.

Yeah, but a road trip to the Gold Coast would be better than one to say Murray Bridge, the Barossa or whatever reigonal venue could be suggested

Information and complaints rarely work their way up hill via "proper channels"- nobody in any enterprise wants to risk the boss' disapproval by passing up negative feedback.mighty_tiger_79 wrote:but if the people involved in the broadcasts are reading constructive criticism on this forum then I would think it would be discussed. Even those whose job is something like Complaints Manager would be selective as what is called "shooting the messenger" still exists.
I've found, from my experience with making complaints myself and in dealing with WorkCover issues as a doctor, most of this blocking occurs in middle management.
So I always write or email directly to the CEO, bypassing middle managers, and it works:
- Hertz have given me a free one day hire.
- a UK publisher replaced a book I bought while in the UK that turned out to have pages missing at the back.
- Bonds have replaced a a dozen sets of underwear.
- the SA Premier of the day (Liberal) once intervened in a WorkCover case where a worker was being shafted - and in the worker's favour!
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

If I wanted to email the highest ranked at LifeFM, should I pray?

Re: State game SANFL v WAFL
Whatever takes your fancy TSG
There are about 10 people involved with Life FM's broadcast (on & off air)
not including our guest special commentators
Only 2, myself and Big Phil post regularly on this site.
So unless a complaint is related to a Phil, it won't be read by the person concerned.
I know from both RPH and LifeFM any emails sent re feedback are passed on.
and yes Psyber give the minimal paid staffs at both community stations I would be surprised if the CEO was not
a recipient.

Re: State game SANFL v WAFL
Well now they know...
Hi,
I just wanted to complain about the state game coverage on the weekend. I listened to part of this on Saturday while driving. I was disappointed that in the breaks all one of the commentators (the main one, sorry don't know his name) wanted to talk about was the AFL. He asked Brett Backwell who he thought would win the AFL premiership and also asked about interchanges, referring to Adelaide having 150 in the last game. This was all in only the half hour that I was listening.
I'm sorry but this is an SANFL broadcast not AFL. I want to hear about SANFL news not AFL. If your commentators would rather talk about AFL then maybe they should let someone commentate that loves the SANFL.
I know that I am not the only person disappointed by this as it has been discussed on an SANFL forum with other SANFL fans agreeing that it's disappointing that AFL is discussed during SANFL broadcasts on your station.
Thank you

Re: State game SANFL v WAFL
While we're emailing radio stations then...
Hi,
I just wanted to thank Life FM and those that put far more time than they would be paid in to covering the SANFL on the radio. The Life FM broadcasts are professional and represent the SANFL very well throughout the entire season. I understand that the AFL does have a place in coverage of the SANFL as not only are there current AFL players playing in the competition but also many aspiring and past AFL players which make our SANFL competition all the better. I also understand that given the coverage of AFL and its standing as the highest level football competition in the land, tactics and other influences may filter through to the SANFL which may need to be covered in your broadcast.
Keep up with your coverage of the SANFL. I know I am not the only person that enjoys listening to your coverage.
Thank you
