Bartel's OK is still better than say a Smedts' normal output at this stage of their careers.

Geelong Season 2012

Postby the joker » Sat May 12, 2012 11:34 pm

Geelong era finished?
I heard today that they have not win the contested ball count once this year. That's not good. Big game next week against the magpies. Who are suddenly in very good form

A terrible stat that. The Crows ran rings around us today. An absolute football lesson. I'm hoping we paid attention. We really miss Lingy. Too many opposition mids have racked up the stats against us this year. We look miles off a top four side at the moment. The semis could be as far as we get this year. We had to win interstate about now to avoid us having to do it later but a repeat could be on the cards. :(

well to be honest we have been fairly ordinary this year in every match.

Fraudmantle -shouldve won but a few undisciplined acts

hawks - they just cant beat us since the GF, even in the close games we manage to win. I think the boys really got up for this game

kangas - well i still cant believe we could lose to such an ordinary team like that, we were very lazy and complacent and a letdown after the week before

richmond - again we battled and were very lucky to win and really if it was a better side we wouldnt have won

lions - in the flood, they are a wooden spoon material side

melbourne - well they are poor but we took a while to really kick away

we havent performed well in any game, apart from the lions but you need to consider the level of opposotion

collingwood next week - they are performing a little better then they did at the start of the year, i really hope the lads get up for the GF re-match and decide to actually start doing the 1%ers that got us where we have been over the past few years. If not, then the pies will smash us by plenty and i do fear that is what will occur on friday night
